Acquiring Kelce

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Acquiring Kelce

Postby Nimrod » Mon Feb 24, 2020 12:32 pm

Just traded for Kelce. Felt I got a great deal. I won my league and felt I needed to add top talent at TE to repeat. Team 1 in Sig.

I sent Dionte Johnson, Edelman, Njoku, Ronald Jones

Got: Kelce and 2021 2nd

Main question for me is how long can Kelce be an every week plug and play TE? He is turning 31 this year. I feel I have up Johnson who could be a WR2 for years and Njoku who I think can be a top 5 TE.
I’ve had mixed feedback on my trade, some felt I didn’t need to deplete my young prospects for a couple years of Kelce as TE1
Team 1

QB: Kyler, Cousins, Trubisky
RB: CEH, Hines, Cohen, Evans, Perine,
WR: AJ Brown, McLaurin, Allen Robinson, Gallup, Harry, Kirk
TE: Herndon, Njoku, Doyle

2021 picks 2nd, 4rd,

You stole him. Nice trade.

Great trade. Now use your draft picks to get some talent at the RB spot and you're golden.

To answer your question, I think he can be a plug and play TE1 for at least 2-3 more years, but probably longer.
