Move from 1.07 to 1.03

Move from 1.07 to 1.03

Postby nicktahoes » Fri Feb 21, 2020 7:20 am

For my superflex team 1 I am looking to try and secure a RB by trading up from 1.07 to 1.03. The guy has the 1.01, 1.02, 1.03, 1.09, 1.13. (12 team league with bonus pick). This guy is probably going Burrow then whichever RB he likes best. So what is the price to make this move?

I have the seventh pick in each round. What are some options you see?

I was thinking one of these:

1.07 and Boyd for 1.03 and 1.13.

1.07 and 2.07 for 1.03

Anything else?

This guy pretty much needs everything.

Thanks.
Team 1:
PPR--QB, RBx2, WRx3, TE, Superflex, Flex x2
QBs: Lawrence, Stafford, Geno, Hooker, Rush
RBs: Ekeler, Kamara, Achane, Elijah Mitchell, Dillon, Kelley, Moss, Jamaal Williams
WRs: Adams, Hopkins, Waddle, Kirk, JSN, Boyd, OBJ, Hyatt
TEs: Kelce, Hockenson, Taysom, Irv Smith

and then a few minor players and rookie stashed on taxi

hes probably keeping the picks and taking either 2 qb and a rb or 3 qb so you might still have a chance at a good rb at 7, especially if jeudy and lamb are taken in the top 6 which i would think they would be (could change post draft who knows)

id say safe bet to assume at least 4 of the 6 picks in front of you wont be RB, so if you like any of swift, dobbins, and taylor i think you are good to stand pat. maybe try a lesser move up to 5 if wanting to be safer.

Don't like the idea of moving Boyd to move up 4 spots, even if you get pick 13 back.

If you can pull off 1.07 and 2.07 for 1.03 I'd do it in a heart beat. I think You'd have to add at least another 2nd to that to even have a chance of pulling off this deal right now.

Boyd would likely get it done on top of the 1.07, but I would not pay that.

Would you even need to move up to snag a RB? I feel like you could get a good one at 1.07 in a Superflex draft. Burrow definitely goes in the top 6 and its a pretty good possibility some combo of Tua/Herbert/Love could sneak into the top 6, depending on team needs of the teams picking there. I'd be surprised if at least one of Lamb and Jeudy didn't go in the top 6, and probably both, barring a disaster i can't even foresee.

So, assuming 2 QBs and two WRs go in the top 6, that would mean of the top tier of RBs currently out there (Swift, Taylor, Dobbins, Moss, CEH), three of them would still be there when you picked at 7. Even assuming only 1 QB and 1 WR go in the Top 6, one of those RBs would be left for you to take.

Moving up would guarantee you get the RB you want, but I'm not sure it will be necessary to get a good RB, so I wouldn't give up a ton myself.

Yeah boyd could probably get it done without asking for a 1st in return. The 2.07 won't be close.

There's still not a concensus top RB, so 1.03 is not worth a Boyd more than 1.07 (unless you can get Tua at 1.03). I think there will still be a top 3 RB left at 1.07. If not, take BPA and worry about RB afterwards.

Boyd is too much to move up within the top tier. I think there's a 7 player tier in superflex right now, so it shouldn't take that much to move from 7 to 3. I think you could move up to 5 and secure one of the top RB. 4 for sure. I'd start with the 2.07 and go from there.

I would need Boyd + 1.07 to sell you just the 1.03. And with your build, I would probably pay it. You have the depth at WR and really need a plug and play option behind Kamara. I'd think with your team landing the top back in this draft would make you a heavy favorite. Right now people are saying theres no clear cut #1 RB and you could probably land one of Taylor, Dobbins, Swift at 1.07. I wouldn't be so sure. I do believe one or two of these guys are going to separate themselves form the pack post combine/draft and that the difference in immediate production due to landing spots could be significant and worth paying for.

The other, probably safer option would be to stand pat and hope someone falls, maybe trade a WR for an RB2/3. I wouldn't blame you for going that route but I think you have enough studs to take a calculated risk to acquire another one.

I agree with first poster. 1.07 and Boyd for 1.03 seems about right. You shouldn't get 1.13 back. Late second seems closer to value.
Second trade isn't close a mid second doesn't close the gab between pick 3 and 7.

I don’t see a real reason to move up for a large value cost. 1.7 in SF still puts you in the not burrow tier. Just sit there and take who’s left or trade the pick for a back. You can probably get like Gordon for just the pick and maybe a 2nd too

If you can do 1.07 and Cooks, then I might make that trade, but I don't think it gets accepted. I don't really see anything else that makes sense for both sides.
