Mixon v. 2020 rookies

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Mixon v. 2020 rookies

Postby Hankybro21 » Thu Feb 20, 2020 1:47 pm

....another Mixon question. Team 1.

Where does everyone view Mixon amongst the (as of now) presumed top 5 rookies this year? So, Mixon v. Swift, Taylor, Dobbins, Jeudy, Lamb? The Mixon owner in my league for Team 1 is in rebuild, is coveting picks, and has floated Mixon my way. QBs are way overvalued in this league, and as such I would be shocked if Burrow doesn't go before my 1.06, leaving me to choose between one of those five.

He said something along the lines of "well I'm guessing you wouldn't give up the 1.06 for him." This got me thinking of how to view Mixon amongst that group of 5 if/when Burrow goes before my 1.06. Do we see Mixon as a better option than one of those 5? Or do some have these rookies ranked ahead of Mixon at this time? Do I make a 1.06 trade OTC for Mixon if one of these 5 is still on the board?

Thanks, all. As always.

I would hold mixon over all of them, he’s played in the nfl and played well. I’d want 2 1st round picks for my Mixon. He’s only 23 still too

Smash accept and take mixon for the 1.06. This isnt close for me for any of those rookies straight up. I would need at least a mid to late first on top if i was the one moving mixon.

This. I'd pay 1.02 easily for mixon. Depending on landing spots I'd proly give 1.01 for him as I believe his team is only thing holding him back and he could be a top 3 rb in the league.

I wouldn't move Mixon for the 1.1. If burrow is as good as we think he is, the bengals offense could be pretty exciting next year. They get their 1st round o-lineman back, and if they keep AJ Green, with Mixon, Boyd, Ross, and Tate, Burrow will have a ton of offensive weapons to use. Regardless, Mixon is very much a proven player.

Piling on. I would easily trade 1.06 for Mixon.

FWIW startup ADP has Mixon at 1.12 and the 5th rookie (since we're assuming Burrow goes too early), Lamb, at 4.6.

Send that 1.06 offer but ask for something small, like a 3rd round pick, back too so the other owner thinks the 1.06 is low. Feel if you just shoot the 1.06 offer over the other owner will start second guessing their valuation. Get Mixon!

I'd take Mixon over the 1.01, so yeah, take that and run.

?? If QBs are that valuable for team 1 sell all of them, unless Im missing something its a 1QB league, eh? Unless one of the top 3 backs goes to a + situation I'd happily sell 1.01 for mixon. He is barely older and is almost done his rookie contract with the bengals (2020 is his last year under contract with the bengals), has proven elite upside (1400 yards 2 years in a row)

I’d slot Mixon at 1.04 or 1.05 in this class so I’d gladly send the 1.06 for him.
