SF startup
Currently in the 6th round of a SF start up draft. I am yet to draft a QB and the best QB available now is about in the middle of the pack of starters. I thought about making an offer for the guy who picked rookie pick 1.01, and he also picked 1.02. So far the only picks he’s made are 1.01, 1.02, Darnold, and Daniel Jones. I have picked McCaffrey, Jacobs, DJ Moore, Mark Andrews and 1.08 in the rookie draft. Since this is my first SF league, I was wondering how close an offer like 1.08 and Jacobs would get me to 1.01 or 1.02? Thank you!

A middle of the pack QB is fine in this spot. If there is another in the 7th, I’d grab one then as well. In fact, any QB with a sure starting job would be on my roster from here on out, as they aren’t cheaper than during the startup. I wouldn't give up Jacobs and the pick now for a shot at a rookie QB. See how the draft unfolds, then make a decision about trading up in the rookie draft.

I agree with the above. If there are still starters left in the 6th then you have struck gold not going QB early in a SF league where QBs drop, which is pretty much the dream scenario. What kind of QBs are we talking about here?

Looks like this is a lot of people's first SF dynasty draft. I'd use your next picks on all these guys until there are no more. Don't think you need to make any trades for QBs or the higher picks right now. Grab some QBs now and then grab some vet WRs that should put up numbers the next 2-3 years.

As others have said, I would grab two of Jimmy G, Stafford, Lock, Cousins with the next two picks. I wouldn't necessarily rush for a 3rd QB since they seem to be dropping in this league, but it wouldn't hurt.
I wouldn't bother trading for one with the guys still available in the draft. 1.08/Jacobs for a top 2 pick would be an overpay.
