Andrews for Landry +

Postby iron » Sat Feb 15, 2020 12:51 pm

Team 1 below,

I have been a solid team the last 5 years, but badly need a TE (TE premium league). I feel my strength is WR. I offered the D.Cook owner Landry, Mattison and 3rd (late 12/16) for Andrews to fill the hole and give me a L.Jackson/Andrews connection.

He has little in WR's and no picks until the 4th rd.

I think it is fair, probably an overpay, but I always seem to have to overpay in this league.

I am afraid he will counter with some offer for my Evans though.

Thoughts?

How much is the TE premium scoring? I'd probably lean towards the Andrews side due to position scarcity.

I lean towards Andrews as well in TE premium. He is an integral part of an offense with a good young QB. Only concern would be Lamar's longevity. But either way he has much less uncertainty than Landry so I would pay this price.

As for the counter, I think you can spruce up the offer a bit if needed but would not give Evans under any circumstances considering the age of your WR corps

I don’t think it’s an over pay for Andrews but I also don’t think you have much strength at WR to be giving up.. and you need a lot of help at RB..

IMO id be looking to get a huge over pay for LJ right now to help your team over all.
Or move Evans for a good package

They scored almost the same raw points but Andrews TE5 and a positional advantage vs Landry WR20. In a start 1 WR league. Both probably coming off career years but Andrews has more room to grow in volume even if his touchdowns decline some. Landry is 4 years older though so a handcuff I'd value around a mid-late 2nd isn't enough to close the gap.

The overpay for Jackson is a good thought as you need help across the board positionaly.

Andrews and I don’t think it’s all that close in a TE premium. That 3rd would have to be a 1st to make me think about it. Would probably still pass.
