RBs to target in startup draft of the ones remaining?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

RBs to target in startup draft of the ones remaining?

Postby Tripwired » Sat Feb 15, 2020 9:00 am

16tm PPR SF TE prem. In the 9th round. I moved around early to land Murray and then again for Evans and M. Sanders. All that trading left me with tough decisions in the 5th, 7th, and 8th rounds. I took what I percieved to be the best value based on my preferences. My current roster is:
Wilson, Murray, Lock, M. Sanders, Evan's, DK, Gesicki, Irv Smith.
I have a big need for an rb2, but having traded my 6th round startup as part of the package that landed me Sanders, a major run on RBS occurred in the late 5th and went on through until I picked again in the 7th. The RBS were depleted by that point. I took the best TE I felt was left since this is TE prem. That's where I felt the value was. Now, here's what's left at RB. Who should I try to target?
White
Howard
Hyde
Lat. Murray
RoJo
Breida
R. Freeman
Miller
Duke J
J. Williams

Needless to say... it's ugly. I've tried trading up several times since that 5th round when I took Lock(best young starter QB left). I thought Lock would give me some trade capital, but everyone wants him for dirt cheap. No dice trading him for now. My best rookie pick for 2020 is 2.07(pick 22). I'll either take whatever scraps are left at rb with that 2.07 pick, or try to trade it in a package for an rb upgrade. That may not be easy though. Thoughts?

I wouldn't lock yourself into over drafting an RB. If there is a strong WR/QB left, pick them and see if you can trade for a RB later.

Out of those available, I'd lean RoJo or Freeman for potential upside. White if you think you will be competitive right away(I dont).

What else is out there for other positions?

Not really attractive options at RB, maybe Rojo.

But if there is a more valuable player out there, maybe go that route

Jones II or R. Freeman out of the options listed, but I would not force picking a back if there are better options available.

QBs
Brissett
Fitz
Dalton
Foles
Any of these could or will be out of the starter role soon

WRs
E. Sanders
Watkins
Tate
Anderson
Crowder
Dede
Hardman
Washington
Perriman
Ross
Miller
C. Davis
Paris
Auden tate

That's the list. I left out some some old guys I'm not interested in. Like Larry fitz and Alshon

I like Westbrook, Hardman, Miller and Campbell as options over the remaining backs.

I like Hsrdman, Campbell, Miller to stay young and potential

E Sanders, Crowder, R Anderson for production or possible trade value increase later

Fitz will probably start 1 more year in Miami so he could be good depth...
