Keenan Allen vs DJ Moore

Got the following offer:

Give: DJ Moore
Get: Keenan Allen

Am I crazy that I don’t want to take this deal? Allen is 5 years older, just lost his QB, and DJ averaged just 1pt per game less than Allen last year with much less talent at QB. To top it all off I already have Nuk and Adams who are getting up there in age. I’m not necessarily in win now mode because I feel I have a good spread of talent and youth.

Let me know who you’d rather have, and what you would need added to Keenan if anything to take the deal.

Edit: forgot the second part of the question. I’d want a late 1st 2020 or a future 1st or so. Just don’t see the benefit otherwise

Not crazy at all. Moore > Allen and it's not particularly close to me - for many of the reasons you already mentioned.

Not sure what kind of + I'd want to get that done.

I know people hate Keenan and many love Moore and the hype is there...so I'd take Moore just based on current value. But wouldn't be surprised at all if Allen helped you more over the next 4-5 seasons.

Personally I value Allen > Moore. However, the hype on Moore is insane right now, so I'd keep Moore if you think you can sell for a better deal to another owner.

Thanks guys, it seems like most people are pretty in line with how I’m thinking. I just hope the DJM hype doesn’t turn into another Juju situation, granted the chips aren’t falling the same way that they did for Juju.

Just to add a contrarion opinion here. I think I would want DJ if I were you...but ifnibwere playing to win now I would want KA if someone like Winston or Stafford ended up there. If KA had a gunslinger QB he would be a beast. He is big enough for redzone work.

No, but if they go tyrod I think it's likely they have a rookie they develop and in 2021 he's all set. Who's Moore's QB exactly?

He was consistent without a good one, and he's young so I'm less worried about him. As bad as Rivers was, I actually think Tyrod is a pretty big downgrade for fantasy purposes. And Keenan's got like another 2 years before he starts to lose value pretty much no matter how he's performing. Are they even gonna be good ones? Idk but it def seems more risky than DJM.

Easily Moore. He is way younger, more explosive, and can play all over the field. Production was basically the same last year. I don't see any advantage to Allen. In 3 years Moore will be entering his prime and Allen will be in his early 30's. Easy call.

What I'd want on top? A mid first. People may think that's ridiculous, but that's what I'd want to lose 5 years on a player with basically the same production.
