Help me land Barkley

Been a dream to land Barkley. How can I get that done without crippling my depth too much?

Just looking for outside opinions on what I could offer, or what you would sell Barkley for from my roster.

For reference, opposing team's roster (just the main pieces):

QB: Mahomes
RB: Barkley, Freeman
WR: Kupp, Thielen, J. Brown, Gallup
TE: Waller, Goedert

Mixon+DK or sanders+Cooper would probably be decent openers depending on he feels about them

Mixon + DK might start a conversation, but If I received Sanders+Cooper as an opening offer, I wouldn't respond

Based on some conversations I've had with the Barkely owner in my league Mixon + DK wouldn't move the needle, a 1st on top of them might get it done, but I honestly doubt it.

In general Mixon is not regarded highly in our league and I know this forum applies a high value to him, so maybe Mixon and DK moves the needle in your league.

You go 3 deep at RB and 4 deep at WR with no picks of value this year, I don't think you can do it without crippling your depth. Not a move I'd be looking to make in a 14 teamer.

I doubt you can get Barkley without crippling your depth, especially when depth is so important in deeper 14-team leagues. Mixon + Cooper + 1st would probably be about what you need to offer if you want to get Barkley, but I'd just hold what you have, as I think you have a strong roster that can contend as is.

As others have stated, i don't think you can get Barkley without crippling your depth. Barkley is arguably a top 3 dynasty RB, so you are going to have to overpay to get him. Cooper and Mixon may get it started, but that also might not be enough. I own Barkley, and just like every one else I am super high on him, and I wouldn't sell for those 2.

I wouldn't recommend going after him. For one, it would take a huge overpay, which you're clearly not looking to do. The offers being suggested don't seem like they would be very close. Without having any draft capital to add to players and not lose a ton of depth, I don't see a trade getting done.

I own Barkley in my dynasty league, and for me to trade him would take a kings ransom.

In the other owner's situation, I would ask for both Cook and Mixon back from you in the deal, since the other RB I have is Freeman and I can't count on him.

I think you have a very solid team. Sometimes you can want a player too much & it clouds your judgment. You don't want buyer's remorse for giving away too much 'cause you're in love with a certain player. Sometimes, the best trades are the ones that aren't made.

Piling on. Barkley is way to pricey and will simply hurt your team in this deep format. I would not pursue.

I like the idea of Mixon, DK or maybe even Mixon, Chark...
The hype is strong for all three of those guys going into next season in all my leagues.
It’s obviously low for Barkley but it’s definitely not offensive.

Barkley is special, I think he’s going to produce at a high level for yearsss to come... where imo I think guys like Mixon and Cook will have shorter productive span.

It’ll be worth it if you can land him at that price but I do agree with the others and wouldn’t give more than that in risk of hurting your depth.
