SF Blockbuster

Postby mmmcoreyos » Fri Jan 24, 2020 9:44 am

Missed the playoffs last year and decided to blow things up a bit, then got this very intriguing offer in my inbox.

1 PPR/0.2 PPC. Relevant lineup would look like this after the trade. Feels very thin at RB especially still which worries me.

QB (1-2): J. Allen, Wentz, Minshew
RB (2-4): Zeke, Gurley
WR (3-5): ARob, K. Allen, C. Davis, C. Samuel, A. Brown. P. Williams, Renfrow
TE (1-3): Fant, Goedert, Dissly

All thoughts welcome! Been tossing and turning over this one for a couple days now.

This is a tough one for me, because initially looking at it, in a vacuum, the value is on the Zeke/KA/Wentz side. However, even with Zeke/Wentz/KA, I don't think your team is competitive. Hard to say for sure without knowing the size of your league, but unless it's a 16 team league, I think you struggle to compete.

That makes me want to keep the picks side, so you can keep building. I'd probably sell Gurley and try to get at least one other first as well.

Keep the picks and blow it up and build through the next couple drafts. I dont think this trade puts you over the top and could set you back long term.

I'm keeping the Zeke side easily. Way too much risk with that many picks and the value just isn't there.

Take that trade. Zeek and Wentz are worth more than all those picks alone. Then you are getting KA on top. If you want to keep rebuilding just sell Zeek and KA for even more than you just got them for.

The value is definitely on the players side. Those 3 players if sold individually would net more than 4 mid to late 1sts (and a prospect) especially with .2ppc boost that zeke gets by his massive volume.

If I made the deal, I'd be turning around and shopping zeke and KA immediately, along with Gurley.

Drafting those 4 picks youd be lucky to end up with one or two top end players. And the odds you hit 3 out of the 4 is very low.

love me some deebo and you're basically doubling up on players with the picks but the value is strong on the zeke side. gotta take the proven stud birds in the hand over the unproven ones in the bush

Keenan = Deebo + 1.08
Zeke > 1.05 + 1.09 + 1.12, especially in PPC
Wentz >>> 2.05

This trade would be a big win for you value-wise, and it looks like your roster would have a decent shot at the playoffs afterwards. I'd accept that ASAP and then focus on upgrading TE for a potential title run.

Zeke side and not close. In a ppc league, Zeke alone might be worth around that much.

Zeke/Wentz/KA by a mile here.

I may contemplate if some of the picks were higher, but 1.05 as the earliest isn't near enough to me.

You're only getting 2-for-1 value on 3 highly valuable assets. Think of it this way:

KA for Deebo, 2.05 = KW
Zeke for 1.05, 1.08 = Zeke
Wentz for 1.09, 1.12 = Wentz
Fig Newtons - 12 team superflex .5 ppr, qb, 2 rb, 3 wr, te, Flex, SF
QB - Dak, Brissett, Purdy
RB - Najee, Swift, J.Robinson, D.Henderson, McKinnon,
WR - M.Thomas, D.Hop, DJ Moore, Miller, G.Davis, MVS
TE - Kittle, Gesicki, Hockenson
Picks: 2023 - 1, 2, 2, 3, 4

Young Newts - 14 team .25 ppr Superflex, qb, 2 rb, 3 wr, te, wr/rb, OP
QB - Allen, Wilson, Cousins
RB - Chubb, L.Bell, Ingram, K.Johnson, Mack, T.Coleman
WR - M.Thomas, OBJ, Woods, Moore, Godwin, R.Anderson
TE - Gesicki, Witten, Irv
Picks: 2022 - 3, 4, 5

DirkaDirka - 12 team PPR Superflex
QB: Mayfield, Allen, M.Ryan, Bridgewater, Mond
RB: Mixon, Swift, Sanders, Ekeler, DJ, Kerryon
WR: Tyreek, A.Cooper, D.Adams, A-Rob, C.Davis, P.Williams, V.Jefferson, Duverney
TE: Kelce, Rudolph, Hollister
2022: All picks

Exactly this in a SF. Not enough high end capital for those players.
