Offered Carson for Mclaurin

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Offered Carson for Mclaurin

Postby JungleCatz » Thu Jan 23, 2020 1:35 pm

I was offered a straight trade where I would get Chris Carson in exchange for Mclaurin.... I am looking to rebuild but Mclaurin is my best young receiver so my first thought is to keep on to him...

This seems like McLaurin rather easily to me. Carson fractured his hip. Isn't that a really worrying injury for a RB?

Mclaurin easy for me, if CC were healthy I might think about it, but as things stand right now this is an easy pass for me.

Carson isn't an ideal rebuilding piece. I'd hold Terry here. That said, I might be willing to cash in on him if it nets you a pick in that 1.07-1.09 range. I'm still on the fence on what he'll do long-term.

McLaurin for me. Seems like the better long term piece. Carson is solid but has had two serious injuries in consecutive years.

I was able to trade him a week ago for the 2.01(11th overall) and a 2021 first(likely a mid first at this point). If you don't want to trade him for picks or can't find the right deal, then I'd hold as well.

Agree with the consensus here. I'm a big CC fan but he's a running back that's good right now. McLaurin is the guy to have for a rebuild and looked legit this year.

Carson > McLaurin for me. However, your team is clearly in rebuild mode, so I'd hold McLaurin in this situation, based on your roster. I'd only take Carson here if I was expecting to compete next year and needed some RB help. Unless you could get something added to the Carson side, like a late first. But I highly doubt that.
