Tannehill Value in SF

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Tannehill Value in SF

Postby CGW » Sun Jan 19, 2020 7:57 am

I've got 2 average QB in my 12 team league with Darnold and Cousins. I'm looking to add at least one more option for 2020 as my team should be competitor. I will likely get the option of Tua or Burrow at 1.03, but should I try to buy one now and have more flexibility come draft day?

Tannehill is on the block. What's his value? Hard for me to gauge him at this point.

Even in SF, I would not pay more then a 2nd for Tannehill unless it was post draft and free agency just in case.

I sold him for the 1.9 in the last week. You have to think he’s going to get a multi year deal, in which case a late first is probably market.

Totally agree. I think he will sign also, but until that happens I would be weary.

I wouldnt feel confident in Burrow or Tua being there honestly. They should be 1.01 and 1.02. Tua might be there though. Either way, I wouldnt want to buy Tannehill until after the rookie draft. I wouldnt mind paying a late first for him next August if he resigns

I'd say Tannehill is worth a late 1st in superflex

Most likely is, I wouldn't pay it.

Tannehill is going to be starting for a team, probably on a multi year contract, and he is not all that old so that alone makes him worth at least a late 1st regardless of how good you think he actually is.

Reminds me of Nick Foles from a year ago. Had a bit of a resurgence and will sign a big contract like Foles. But don't think he's a long-term answer for any team. He's still a starting QB and had some success, so his value should be a late 1st, but I'm not buying.
