Help me acquire J. Mixon with Keenan ++

WR - O. Beckham / C. Godwin / K. Allen / A. Robinson / C. Kirk / Di. Johnson
TE - E. Engram / D. Waller / I. Smith
Picks - 1.04 / 1.05 / 3.04 / 3.09 / 4.04

The Mixon owner is pretty stacked at RB with D. Cook / D. Henry / J. Mixon / L. Bell / D. Guice and TE with Kelce, but pretty thin at WR (Hopkins / Lockett / Samuel). The problem is he's extremely hesitant to make trades in the off-season because he prefers to let the process play out before making decisions (makes for a boring dynasty owner, I know).

I feel like I have to "WOW" him with an offer - and I'm willing to overpay to some degree because I'm a big believer in Mixon and my team needs long-term RB help.

What do I offer to catch his attention? He obviously isn't weak at Tight End, but I was thinking of offering:

Give - K. Allen / D. Waller
Get - J. Mixon / N. Fant

Is that a smart proposal and do you think it's enough to get him interested?

The offer is a pretty solid one, but I'm guessing you will have to add. Maybe a 2nd gets it done? RBs are always a bit more pricey and Mixon is a hot commodity again this off season.

In dynasty an incredibly hyped and talented young tight end with a young QB to grow with; over a tight end who had 1 good season in a shaky situation who will probably be with a new QB in a year or 2 and he’ll be 30 by that time? 100%

Take out Fant and the offer is closer. Mixon is the best piece in the deal, you'll need more than a Waller/Fant swap to get him.

As an owner of some of the best pieces on both teams, I'm trying really hard not to be biased here. That said...

I would not move my Mixon/Fant for Allen/Waller. Allen's end-of-season numbers obfuscate just how frustrating he is to start every week (had him in redraft the last couple of years). And with the other guy having Kelce I don't see how this TE swap adds any value to his team, assuming Waller is better than Fant anyway, which I'm not sure of.

I would need Godwin+ - maybe his choice of Kirk or Diontae - to move Mixon.

Mixon >= Allen
Fant >= Waller

Personally I don't think there's a huge gap between Mixon and Allen, maybe a late 1st or early 2nd. That said, your offer doesn't make much sense. You're basically asking for a straight swap of two players but getting the better pieces. I think Allen + Waller for Mixon straight up would have a better shot of getting accepted.

Kind of bummed to hear everyone's take on the TE's. I know Fant showed at least some promise as a Rookie, but it's crazy to me that's he's being valued higher than a guy who just finished as the overall TE #3 in his first real season at the position - and is still just 27 years old.

i think people are just proceeding with caution especially since that team was void of receiving weapons and that is expected to change this coming season via the draft or FA. the top WR on their team had 651 yards in 14 games. that has got to be a record low lol. Waller had double the targets of that WR1 as well. if that wr1 and wr2 become real threats then i expect the target distribution to be a lot different.

Don't forget that Burrow coming in and the addition of healthy o-lineman is going to increase Mixon hype even more. I traded my Mixon share in a 2 qb league for 1.02 and 1.07 for this reason as the hype built up. My opinion is, you're set at tight end for your te one. If you want to be really aggressive, open with Keenan Allen, and ask him which tight end on your roster he likes best (if you're willing to move Engram). Say you'll move his preferred TE and Allen for Mixon. That's an opening wow offer imo if you want to pry Mixon.

Waller had 90 receptions on 117 targets, that’s close to MT in terms of efficiency... I think to many people are sleeping on him. I would rather have Waller than Fant. He finished the season with 3 6+ receptions, 100 yard games, in his last 5 games. Nobody is mentioning how the broncos will very likely draft a high end WR for Lock to utilize as well.

For me, it's not that I'm super high on Fant. It's more so that Waller produced how he did in 2019 due to unsustainable PPR volume as well as his history of substance abuse suspensions. Personally, the most I'd pay for Waller is an early 2nd. I think he's a risky asset due for regression.

Compare week 8 on though for Waller with Renfrow in the line up vs out of the line up. Those last 5 games they almost literally had no one else to throw to. Then if they add another receiver on top of Renfrow in the draft or free agency, and the targets to Waller further decrease.

I’m not saying Waller is a bad TE, I’m just a long term thinker in dynasty and I like Fant long term more than Waller
