Saquon Barkley deal

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Saquon Barkley deal

Postby Bot101 » Tue Jan 14, 2020 7:09 pm

Context: 12 man, half PPR, SF and I am rebuilding.

Give: 1.02, 1.06, Terry Mclaurin

Get: Saquon Barkley

QBs: Mahomes, Prescott, Luck, Grier
RBs: Joe Mixon, Jordan Howard, Nyheim Hines
WRs: JuJu, Diggs, Mclaurin, Corey Davis, TreQuan Smith, Justin Watson
TEs: Goedert, Hockenson, OJH, Jonnu, Irv Smith

Picks: 1.02, 1.06, 2.02, 2.03, 2.05, 3.02, 3.03, 3.06, 3.12. 4.02

So what do you think guys? Given the current state of my team is this a deal I should do? The guy whos offering me Barkley has the 1.01 and is currently looking to take a WR with the 1.01. Jeudy or Lamb, depending on landing spot. That puts Burrow or whatever RB I want in my lap.

Your QBs are in good shape with Mahomes and Dak. You have to weigh if Barkley or Burrow is worth more to you. I dont play SF, so to me it seems like a tough call, but I'm leaning the Barkley side.

Definitely prefer the Burrow, McLaurin, Swift/Dobbins/ETN/Lamb/Jeudy side over Barkley.

In a SF league, this is close, certainly closer than most posters are making it out to be. This would be a snap accept in a 1QB league, but it's not a 1QB league and you only have 2QBs. I'd lean Barkley here, but that's because Burrow should go 1.01, and should be gone by the time you pick at 1.02. If you knew for a fact that Burrow would drop to 1.02, that might change things, but seeing as how I expect him to be gone by then, I'd go with Barkley here.

You need to get another QB though.

If you know for a fact that 1.2 is burrow its tough honestly. I might take the picks especially with the rebuild

Easily Barkley. Once you get him I don’t see how your not a strong competitor in 12 man. Prescott/Mahomes is about the best you can get at QB, Barkley and Mixon is about the best you can get at RB, and JuJu and Diggs should both be solid next year. Also I have a very hard time believing someone is taking Jeudy or lamb over burrow when you finally draft.

Burrow is/should go 1.01, which is why this is Barkley pretty easily.

Am I the only one who hasn’t ruled out taking Tua. I don’t really care where he goes I just think he is going to be as good as Burrow.

The 1.01 owner isnt sold on Burrow and he feels set at QB so he has been shopping the 1.01. Based on his prices, I highly doubt he will move the pick. Plus he is infatuated with Jeudy and Lamb. Unless he is pulling my leg, which there isnt any reason to, he says he wants to take a WR at the 1.01 if he cant trade the pick.

As a side note, he pulled the offer before I could even accept. Maybe he changes his mind, we will see.
