12 Team PPR league where TEs get 1.5ppr. Which side of trade would you want:

Keenan Allen + 3.05
or
Deebo Samuel, Njoku, 1.10

Leaning Keenan, I own both players. 1.10 isn’t enough to move Keenan for me. Njoku and 3.5 both throwins imo.

Keenan has a very nice floor and higher ceiling, by a bit, than Deebo. Wouldn’t blame someone for getting younger but I think Keenan will play for a long time still and be relevant as he gets older since most of his skills don’t rely on downfield speed and he’s a pretty big guy.

I would lean Allen here. He is the best piece in the deal. If the 1st was earlier, it would be a tougher call.

Agree here. Deebo is a nice, young asset, but hard to hate on Keenan. Keenan by a decent amount for me.

There’s only 3 wide receivers over the past 3 years that have put up WR 1 numbers each year consistently: Julio, MT, Keenan- that’s it (with KA finishing 3rd, 12th, and 6th). I would take the Allen side and it’s not close for me. I like Deebo and think he will build on this season, but there’s frankly way too many WR 3’s out there, and too little a chance for them to break into fantasy WR 1’s, much less consistent 1’s.
Dynasty Team 1:

10 Man, Full PPR, .2 PPC, Double Flex

QB: Kyler Murray
RB: Saquon Barkley , Breece Hall, Swift, Dobbins, Gibson, CEH
WR: Devante Adams, Tyreek Hill, Jamarr Chase, DK Metcalf, Devonta Smith, Jerry Jeudy
TE: Travis Kelce

2023 Picks: 1.4, 1.8, 2.9, 3.2, 3.6, 3.8

Dynasty Team 2:

10 Man, Half PPR, Double Flex

QB: Tua
RB: Barkley , Mixon, Javonte, Jacobs, CEH
WR: AJB, Tyreek, Lamb, Aiyuk, Bateman
TE: Kittle

2022 Picks: 1.5, 1.6, 2.3
2023 Picks: 2 x 1st, 2 x 2nd

Interesting take and very good points. I'm the one who was thinking of offering Keenan for the others. I'm not in a complete rebuild, but I am kind of stuck in the "mediocre middle" which is why I'm thinking of trying to shake things up for my team, without completely blowing it up. This would allow me to get a little younger and give me a 2nd first rounder in a deep class. And I still believe in Njoku's talent long term. And I've been thinking of the old adage "It's better to sell a year or 2 early, than a year or 2 too late." But you are making me second guess myself now. :wall:

If nothing else, at least the poll confirms it's at least a fair offer. Whether I should make it or not is still the question. Thanks for the input.

I think it's somewhat close, especially if Njoku can stay healthy and develop into a decent TE, but right now, I'd lean towards Allen.

Would help to know your team make up. If you’re rebuilding then Deebo, the 1.10 and Njoku isn’t bad if you believe in Njoku. Contender then it’s obviously Allen

Keep in mind the QB situation is unsettled for the Chargers. KA is Rivers "guy" and a new QB may favor Big Mike. On the Samuel side, Manny Sanders is an FA and will be 33 when the season starts even if he signs back in the bay area. Jimmy G seems to have a rapport with Deebo and the 9ers get him involved in the running game to boot.

I hate when people say this stuff this time of year. Forget if you're rebuilding or not - you have 8 more months to finalize your 2020 roster. Where is the value? In this case, I think it's clearly Allen.

Predicting NFL offenses of the future 😬. All we know is KA Is a way better player than mike Williams. Mike Williams is a great deep threat, but can’t run routes like KA and isn’t on the same level as KA. So if the new supposed Chargers QB favors mike Williams that would be a mistake.

In a TE premium league, this is close. The 3.05 should be removed from the Keenan side though, and it would be even closer. I'd still lean KA though by a hair. Maybe if the first was a mid instead of a late.

It would be helpful to know your roster though. Who are your TE's and other WR's for example?

deebo was a wr1 in a fulltime role the second half of the season...as a rookie! im a giant KA fan but deebo and njoku (freddie bathrooms is gone so he should be getting a fresh start) plus a 1st in a great class would be plenty for me to move KA, age plays a big factor here for me as well.

interesting also that deebo had more 100 yard games and the same number of TD despite one less game played.
