Keenan vs these RBs

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Keenan vs these RBs

Postby kmbryant09 » Thu Jan 09, 2020 5:07 pm

Looking to shop Keenan Allen for some RB help, and I need assistance figuring out his value relative to a few RBs:

-Joe Mixon

-Austin Ekeler

-Aaron Jones

-Miles Sanders

What should I be adding to Allen and/or what else should I be asking for in return?

Thanks!

mixon- probably add a first or two to keenan
Jones and Sanders-owners will probably push for a straight swap
ekeler-add a first and another piece to him for keenan

Allen should land Jones straight up.
Mixon and Sanders - Allen + a 1st
Ekeler - I would wait to see how the off season unfolds.

Who is paying Keenan Allen plus a 1st for Sanders that’s terrible.

And Mixon is in a whole league above Sanders

Dynasty Team 2:

As a Mixon/Jones owner in various leagues Allen wouldn't really get me that interested unless my team was heavily inbalanced in favor of RBs. Of course in the modern FF landscape that is pretty rare and if anything most teams are already WR heavy and RB light.
12 Team FFPC TE Premium
QB: Herbert, Brady
RB: Barkley, Mixon, Jav Williams, Pierce, Drake
WR: Jefferson, AJ Brown, Metcalf, Hopkins, Peoples-Jones
TE: Kittle, Goedert

Mixon > Keenan Allen = Aaron Jones > Sanders.

Keenan has averaged 100 receptions over the last 3 seasons and has placed WR 3, WR 12, and WR 6. He’s (still) constantly undervalued imo.

Seems crazy to me as a Keenan owner how low people continue to value him.

3 straight top12 finishes (including 2 top6 finishes) and he's just 27 years old. Yet Keenan owners are expected to add 2 1sts to get Mixon (a 2nd tier RB)? And he's a non-starter as a package for someone like Aaron Jones?

I guess as an owner I'm better off holding...

I agree. Although I think Mixon is a first tier RB (if that means mid RB 1) because he is just so talented. He has to deal with one of the worst lines and situations in the league, but with Burrow coming in, and the bengals first round o-line from last year back from the torn pec, one could only hope the situation gets better. I would say Jones is a tier 2 RB (back end RB 1), and Sanders tier 3 (RB 2).

Apparently I'm much higher on Allen and much lower on Mixon than most. Here's how I'd value Allen vs. these RBs:

Mixon = Allen + mid 2nd
Allen = Jones + mid 2nd
Allen = Sanders + mid 1st
Allen = Ekeler + mid 1st
Kittles Pox | Championships: 2015, 2017
12-Team PPR | QB, 2RB, 2WR, TE, W/R/T, K, DST
QB: Kyler Murray, Aaron Rodgers
RB: Christian McCaffrey, Melvin Gordon, James Conner, Phillip Lindsay, Tevin Coleman, Boston Scott, Benny Snell Jr.
WR: Tyreek Hill, Mike Evans, Cooper Kupp, Michael Gallup, Christian Kirk
TE: George Kittle, Travis Kelce | K: Younghoe Koo | DST: SF
PS: Mecole Hardman, Tony Pollard | 2020 Picks: 1.09, 2.10, 3.03 | 2021 Picks: 1st, 2nd

Figured I would bump this thread now that we're nearly a month into the off-season.
-Mixon is basically off limits
-My interest in A. Jones has faded

How does Keenan compare to these RB's:
-A. Ekeler
-M. Sanders
-J. Jacobs

I'm particularly interested in Ekeler, since I know his owner is a big Keenan fan and values him more than Ekeler (he already has Kamara / Gurley / Carson / Singletary). What's a fair asking price?

I think Sander's is the most talented RB out of that trio, I really don't trust Ekeler to ever be a bell-cow back.
