Breshad Perriman Value

Postby tommymct » Thu Jan 09, 2020 2:45 pm

Former 1st round pick, then, a bust, now a resurgence in Tampa and a league winner. 26 years old, free agent likely to get a real deal somewhere

How do we value him?

Tough call, I’d say late 2nd. We can’t just ignore the first part of his career after 5 games where he was the only viable receiver in the most pass heavy offence in the league

2nd? Not that I’d pay that for him but I’d sell him for that

Early 3rd. I view him as a roster clogger like Devin Funchess. He's big-bodied and will have some big games here or there, but outside of deep leagues, Perriman is a bye week WR3 or flex option at best.

Being the league winner he was gave him a potential sell high window

I get that. I just think you have to take whatever the best offer is because he is not worth holding outside of deep leagues. There is a good chance you don't even get an offer.
I actually own him and he was one of my easy drops to make room for the incoming draft class. If people actually think he is worth something I will try to sell him for something too. I would be thrilled with a 2021 third.

He's coming off a very nice end to his season as a FA. As the NFL free agency period nears or gets under way, he is likely to garner solid interest as the FA WR class is not terribly strong. The month of March is the likely time you'll see his value at it's highest. Until then, don't press on him.

He’s been a bust until the top two wrs went down in TB. If I could get a second for him he’s gone in a heartbeat if I’m trading for him a mid to late thirds all I’m giving up.

I believe he’s a FA this offseason soot probably depends on if he resigns to be a WR3/4 on TB or goes after a starting spot elsewhere. I think you have to forget his time in BAL as he was tied to a garbage offense but his ceiling is a big unknown. He played quite well this season when given the targets. I’d be looking to buy at late 3rd (at most) and selling at mid 2nd
