This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Mclaurin for Deebo

Postby Benchwarmer101 » Thu Jan 09, 2020 12:01 am

Have a trade offer. I give Mclaurin plus 2.05 for Deebo + 3.02. This is in a different league than the one listed below.

I think Deebo has more upside the next few years with the 49rs offense. Should be a no brainer, right????

Team 1
12 team Superflex TE premium 23 roster 3 taxi 3 IR, 10 starters 1QB, 2-4RB, 3-6WR, 1-Superflex 1-4TE

Deebo side easily. First, I like Jimmy G more than Haskins and 2nd, Deebo's ceiling is higher than Scary Terry's.

Tough one for me... I think it’s personal preference although there’s no denying the Deebo has a better QB and offense...
one thing to consider is Jalen Hurd and Trent Taylor will be ready to go next season, still not sure if that’s going to help or hurt Deebo.
Team 1:
10 team SF, .5 ppr
1-QB 1-SF 3-WR 2-RB 1-TE 1-Flex
QB: Allen, Burrow, Goff, Aidan OConnel
RB: ETN, K Walker, Swift, D Pierce, Monty, Herbert, McLaughlin
WR: Deebo, AJB, Lamb, DJM, Dell, Higgins, Jeudy, E Moore, Michael Wilson, Tutu
TE: Kinkaid, Schultz, Njoku

I’m personally way higher on McLaurin. I think he has a WR 1 build, and is just a great player all around. Great route running, elite speed, and real solid hands. Deebo in my eyes has only high WR2 upside.
Dynasty Team 1:

10 Man, Full PPR, .2 PPC, Double Flex

QB: Kyler Murray
RB: Saquon Barkley , Breece Hall, Swift, Dobbins, Gibson, CEH
WR: Devante Adams, Tyreek Hill, Jamarr Chase, DK Metcalf, Devonta Smith, Jerry Jeudy
TE: Travis Kelce

2023 Picks: 1.4, 1.8, 2.9, 3.2, 3.6, 3.8

Dynasty Team 2:

10 Man, Half PPR, Double Flex

QB: Tua
RB: Barkley , Mixon, Javonte, Jacobs, CEH
WR: AJB, Tyreek, Lamb, Aiyuk, Bateman
TE: Kittle

2022 Picks: 1.5, 1.6, 2.3
2023 Picks: 2 x 1st, 2 x 2nd

I’ve got mclaurin and Deebo pretty much dead even, would probably go back and forth on who I liked more if I had to choose.

I think one consideration is, mclaurins situation can really only get better, Haskins with another year, a better coach, some good draft capital for the team, etc.

Deebo is in a nice spot here and his arrow should keep going up also, but not enough to separate him from Terry in my book.

I’d hang on to that 2.05
main league, half PPR, all TDs 6, -3 for INT
12 team. 2019 champ, 2020 runner up, ‘21 3rd
start 2SF, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 2WRT

QB: T Lawrence, K Cousins, R Wilson, Z Wilson
RB: K Walker, T Ettiene, JK Dobbins, D Gore, J Hasty, D Johnson, L Rountree
WR: JJ, AJB, A Cooper, Juju, C Kirk, J Dotson, N Westbrook-Ikhine, I McKenzie
TE. T Kelce, Pitts, Albert O, D Parham, J O’Shaunessy

I agree with this. I like both rookies, but I would add to Deebo to get Terry.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

Keep in mind That the 49ers offense is absolutely booming across the board right now, while the redskins offense has been pretty garbage. With Kittle and Sanders there, Deebo is being used as an X receiver, doing a lot of crafty things, and exploiting a lot of matchups. Mclaurin is on one of the worst offenses, but has been featured as the redskins WR1 (for whatever that’s worth), and has also made some great plays on some of the top corners. I think he has shown strong WR 1 potential, and I consider him to be a future top 10-12 WR for fantasy.

I'd say McLaurin >= Samuel, so I'd hold onto the 2.05.

Very even player's overall and this likely comes down to preference. McLaurin has a better chance to be a teams #1 in my opinion.

I like Deebo's situation better, so I'd lean towards him.
