Boyd vs Locket?

Postby hockeyBjj » Wed Jan 08, 2020 6:25 pm

Youth that has more than flashed vs production

Team 1 in sig. WRs are plenty youth enough obj, Evans, juju, Landry. But sorely needing consistency. Locket I think was more a byproduct of no competition for targets but did great aside from a 3 week stretch

Interesting question for sure. I lean Boyd, as he’s been able to produce with much less steady QB play the last couple of seasons. With Metcalf coming along nicely I do wonder if Lockett gets pushed down the depth chart in an offense that already values running the ball.

I said Lockett, it’s super close. Play wise they’re very similar I leaned Lockett because he’s a better athlete and has the better QB (*for now*)

Both solid options and IF Burrow translates, Boyd could make a big jump. I would lean Lockett as of now due to Wilson.

Boyd if Bengals draft Burrow. Dk Metcalf is the WR
to own in Seattle.

As of now, I lean Lockett here. It's fairly close though. I don't really love either one of them. Lockett is in a much better situation with a much better QB. Even if the Bengals draft Burrow, Boyd is stuck with a rookie QB, still on a bad offense, and with the other WR's on the Bengals, Boyd will continue to be blanketed by opposing defenses. Whereas Lockett has Metcalf to take some pressure off of him.

Again, don't love either one, and they are fairly close, but straight up between the two, give me Lockett at this point.

I'd say Boyd >= Lockett due to age

Lockett does so much with so little opportunity and Boyd does so little with so much opportunity...

i would take Boyd though b/c the Burrow hype will get real and the perceived value will be high heading into next year.

Really close but I lean Lockett. He can do a lot with a little and having another receiver that defenses have to stick to could help him
