Hi all,
for team in Sig. I defended my title, which incl. some luck (lowest pts scored against me, picked up Parker early from waivers) and a mid-season trade of OBJ for Mixon/early 2nd. Now, its time to prep for next season for winning and setup my team for the next 2,3 years.
My 7 keepers as of now would be
QB: Mahomes
WR: Hopkins, Jones, Metcalf
RB: Kamara, Mixon
TE: Kelce
For next seasons draft, I have picks 1.12, 2.04, 3.12 and so on. Probably will miss out on all the highly touted RBs and WRs.
Some questions I am wrestling with right now:
1. Is Parker maybe a better keeper than Metcalf?
2. Try to trade Jones? (will be tough in my league and probably only at sub-value)
3. Cash out on Mahomes/Kelce stack -> what would be a good return in a 1 QB league, given my goals?
4. Am I overthinking it and should leave my keepers as they are?
Thanks and cheers
S

Re: Title defended, now what?
Nice work on defending and adding another title!
1. Parker may have turned a corner, but I would much rather hold Metcalf long term. Parker building on last season is a big if in my opinion.
2. I would hold Jones outside of a really solid offer. He is a monster piece still. Outside of a huge overpay, Jones retiring on your team might be the best course of action.
3. I would hold here as well. Having a top 5 QB and TE is huge, especially when they play on the same team. Double points.
4. I think you have really solid keepers and would be happy with that core rolling into 2020.

Metcalf > Parker
Wouldnt be looking to trade Mahomes, Julio or Kelce as they are all invaluable to a contender.

Re: Title defended, now what?
I am always one for continuing to improve your team. Assuming in this keeper league, you opt who your keeper and then draft (which includes rookies and FA), I believe there is definitely room to get value out of trades. More specifically to your questions.
Some questions I am wrestling with right now:
1. Is Parker maybe a better keeper than Metcalf? Metcalf has shown he can be better than Parker, however I am sure the perceived value is greater than the actual production. If you could keep Parker, and say get the 1.1-1.3 for Metcalf, I would gladly make that move. I don't see you getting anything more than a high 2nd for Parker.
2. Try to trade Jones? (will be tough in my league and probably only at sub-value) See above comments regarding Metcalf, however I would assume this would be more of a 1.3-1.5 pick.
3. Cash out on Mahomes/Kelce stack -> what would be a good return in a 1 QB league, given my goals? Keep Mahomes. Again Kelce I would consider moving for a very early first as you can keep Goedert behind him.
