Where do I stand after winning championship?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Where do I stand after winning championship?

Postby mill101911 » Tue Jan 07, 2020 10:02 am

I won the championship in the inaugural year of our 12-team superflex league. I scored 200 more points than anyone else during the regular season. I have older pieces, such as Edelman, Ingram, and John Brown. If I stay put, do I have good odds to do well next year, or should I try and turn these players to someone else who think they are a contender.

I'm low on draft picks as I made deals to win this year. I have the 3.1 and 3 4ths.

I'd try to move those players if possible. You're still deep enough where you should be able to compete without them, but turning them into younger players or draft picks will keep you competitive for a longer time.

Am I crazy in thinking your best course may be to just blow most of it up?
I see A Jones and Ingram as not being any higher value than they are now. I'd be happy to sell them for either picks or other younger RB assetts.
I'd try to keep MT, but I'm fine selling Diggs, Edelman, and Brown, again for picks
I'd sell Waller if you can get some good value for him.
Can't really speak towards your IDP
Your QB group is adequate, certainly not amazing for a SF league, but its probably good enough.

Basically I'd keep your QBs, Mixon, and MT. and try to get younger assetts everywhere else

x2 - I would move a couple other pieces as well, but good forward thinking/off season game plan here.

Thank you for the input. I am definitely leaning towards this, of course after I can see what they return.

I can see the allure in blowing it up, but I’ll vote against it. At least wait and see if you start 1-4 or something.

Just compete again imo.

I would try to dump Edelman for anything. Best case for him is what, Brady comes back? Even on a contender I’m not real high.

Ingram - you’re not gonna a get anything close to his value unless it’s to another contender. And even then, meh. What are people offering for Ingram these days? He will still be a killer at your RB3 slot next year. Don’t take a 2nd for that, imo
main league, half PPR, all TDs 6, -3 for INT
12 team. 2019 champ, 2020 runner up, ‘21 3rd
start 2SF, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 2WRT

QB: T Lawrence, K Cousins, R Wilson, Z Wilson
RB: K Walker, T Ettiene, JK Dobbins, D Gore, J Hasty, D Johnson, L Rountree
WR: JJ, AJB, A Cooper, Juju, C Kirk, J Dotson, N Westbrook-Ikhine, I McKenzie
TE. T Kelce, Pitts, Albert O, D Parham, J O’Shaunessy

I'd float Diggs out there as well.
