Kamara for 1.5/1.6

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Kamara for 1.5/1.6

Postby flashgordon12 » Mon Jan 06, 2020 11:52 am

This is superflex. I finished @ 1.6 so right outside the playoffs this year and might be a piece away from contending
Players of note: QB- Watson, Allen, Kyler; RB- Mixon and Jacobs; WR- DK, Boyd, Landry, Mike Williams, Slayton, AJG, John Brown, Crowder; TE- Engram, Knox

Should I take the plunge and deal my 1.5 and 1.6 for Kamara? This has been really tough for me and appreciate the insight

P.S. my league mates are sure to see this, feel free to chime in!
Flash in the Pan: 12 team PPR (1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1 RB/WR/TE, 1DEF) 25 man rosters

QB- Andrew Luck, Josh Allen
RB- MGIII, Mixon, Cohen, Devonta Freeman
WR- AB, Odell Beckham Jr., Josh Gordon, Tyler Boyd, Marqise Lee, Sutton, MVS
TE- Gronk, Higbee
DEF- Denver

Kamara based on value, but I'd wait until after the NFL Draft to get peak value for those mid 1sts. Also, I'm not sure you're a true contender even with Kamara given your thin WR and TE situation.

I mean if the offer is on the table, I'd probably snap accept it. That being said, I think your biggest need is WR and that you could hold onto the picks longer too

So, I'm pretty terrible at dynasty so far, that seems like a fair offer on the surface, but Kamara was really disappointing this year. I don't have any input for you, but I'm interested to see responses from the more knowledgeable people on this site.
12 Team Dynasty, (SF) (2pt/c TE Prem)

Assuming you didn't pass on Kamara during your rookie draft (like my dumb ###) and you'd be okay with the constant reminder on your squad, seems like a good price for him. Lol. Agreed with the sentiment above though that waiting may be beneficial, unless there is another league mate with 2 early firsts who could swoop in and make the deal.
"Marathon Square" - 16 team full PPR league with 24 player roster. Keep 16 per year indefinitely, draft 8. Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 Team DST
QB: Jordan Love, Deshaun Watson
RB: Travis Etienne, Aaron Jones, Jamaal Williams, Kendre Miller, Jaleel McLaughlin, Sean Tucker, Deuce Vaughn
WR: A.J. Brown, Garrett Wilson, Tee Higgins, Calvin Ridley, Michael Wilson, Kendrick Bourne, Tutu Atwell, Allen Lazard, Isaiah Hodgins, Justin Shorter
TE: T.J. Hockenson, Cole Kmet, Kylen Granson
K: Didn't make the playoffs in 2023  , and don't usually hold one in the offseason
Team DST: Cowboys, Lions

Picks:
2024: All my picks except 3rd rounder

Disclaimer: My one and only Championship in this league was way back in 2011. Therefore, take my replies with the appropriate grain of salt.

Piling on, waiting seems to be the way to go here. On value, not a bad price for Kamara at all.

I’d take it before he changes his mind.

Also a fair point. That is the risk of waiting.

I would accept it. It sounds like a panic sell from the other owner.

That is too cheap for Kamara. I'd take the deal based on value alone. However, your WR's need a lot of help if you want to be competitive.

i dont see him being cheaper than this at any point. the talents at 5 and 6 will be very good though.

what other picks do you own? is there still anything to work with to help your wr situation if you make this trade?

rolling out mixon, kamara, and jacobs every week would be pretty killer though regardless who your wrs are.

^ this is why I'm hesitant. I want to upgrade my WRs and these picks would be perfect. I have the 2.6 and 3.7, so not much room to upgrade if I do end up trading the firsts

This is very cheap for Kamara, I would not wait at all for the picks to increase as even if they do this is the kinda deal you’d be praying to get for them. Take the sell low, IMO, on a top 6 back and run

I'd pay that for Kamara pretty easily...but then I'd look to flip one of your RBs for an elite WR.

I’m kinda surprised at the responses and I’m even a fan of Kamara, own him on many teams. That being said, he hasn’t looked the same to me this season, maybe still getting back to full strength after his injury, IDK but in SF, picks 1.5 & 1.6 are going to get you two really good players. Unless I think Kamara is the missing piece to a championship, I like the pick side, in SF. Assuming the draft goes Burrows, Tua, Swift, Jeudy in some order, you would have so many options there with those picks.
