trade offer for 1.01 and Jacobs

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

trade offer for 1.01 and Jacobs

Postby Krissi24 » Sun Dec 29, 2019 4:09 pm

12 team 0,5ppr

I have just received a huge trade offer:

I get:
1.06
1.07
2021 1st (know it is far away but should be 1-6)
2021 1st (1-6)
2021 1st (7-12)
2021 2nd
3.04
Sony Michel

I give
1.01
Josh Jacobs

My starters
Dak
Melvin G, Jacobs, Guice
Kupp, Thielen, Lockett
Hooper

I really need some advice on this one.
Feel like this will push me to rebuild. Or am I nowhere near competing.

Comments and advises would really be appreciated
Happy new year guys

Long term, I think this trade helps you if you are looking to retool. That is a lot of pieces coming back. If you are not looking to retool, hold what you have and keep building on the fly.

I'd make the trade given your team. No sure fire wr1 and Gordon's future up in the air. Not to mention the question marks around Guice.

If you could swap Gordon and Jacobs I really like it for you.

That's a big haul no matter what, but next year's draft class is considered by most to be much weaker and less deep than this year's. This person obviously wants Jacobs and a specific player in the draft, and they're trying to blow you away with multiple picks in a weaker draft class to get it. It's your call in the end. Losing Jacobs sets you back in the rb dept. The 1.06 and 1.07 won't net you a player the caliber if Jacobs. You'll get a solid rb or wr at that spot more than likely since it's a deep draft class, but nothing like Jacobs, imo. Plus losing the 1.01 is tough without having all the combine and nfl draft info. That pick is only going to increase in relative value over the next several months. The 2021 2nd and the 3.04 are likely dart throws. And Sony doesn't move the needle for me. I'd rather have the stud Jacobs in an offense that feeds him the rock.
Imo, now is the time to buy draft picks, not sell them. If you do make the deal then I'd find a trade partner and bundle some of those 2021 picks and trade back into the top 5 of this draft, and fast before their value explodes.

I don't like it. 1.1 is worth 1.6 , 1.7 and michel. then it basically becomes the equivalent of 5 2020 seconds for Jacobs.

Is it though? There are 6 top tier players everyone seems to be interested thus far: Jeudy, Lamb, Taylor, Swift, Dobbins, and Etienne. I would think adding the 1.7 to any of those players is enough for any other, without Michel. Also I don't think you should just be writing off all the 21 1st's as 2nd's right now. Usually people do that if its acquiring like 1 21 1st, but 3 1sts in a single draft class is a lot.

IMO: 1.1 = 1.6 + 1.7 and maybe 21 2nd (because this draft class is really deep so the 1 and the 6 in terms of talent are not vastly different)
Then: 3 21 1sts + Michel >> Jacobs

I would take it, such a huge haul to rebuild that squad. See if you can package the 1.07 with something to move back into the top 5 and got one of the 6 studs mentioned above.

If you do take it, I would look to move Gordon as well. Could probably get another 2021 1st and a late 2020 1st for a big kickstart on that rebuild.

Most of your assets after Jacobs and the 1.01 are either getting up there in age or have major question marks. So yeah i would take the deal and blow your roster the rest of the way up.

Awesome haul, I love Jacobs but I’d take that in a heartbeat. There’s not a clear Saquon type 1.1 this year and you are still going to get 2 studs at 1.6 and 1.7 given this class’s depth. Also, the 2021 class is LOADED esp at WR, you will be glad you got those picks at this time next year.

I think would have to make that move as well. You can always trade picks for other players you want now or use 2021 1st for 2020 picks if want to trade back in for this year.
