Thinking Ahead to 2020

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Thinking Ahead to 2020

Postby DynastyIsDaBest » Tue Dec 24, 2019 7:36 am

Currently getting my roster cuts finalized and debating on whose the better stash/es for next year. I can hold 1-3. Already picked up Ian Thomas and Slayton during the season

Kelvin Harmon - could be WR2 next year unless Washington decides to draft another WR despite their many holes
Dante Pettis - could be WR1-4 next year as he didnt do anything all year but has draft pedigree and a real offense
Tim Patrick - could be WR2 next year unless they draft someone or possibly FA signing
Nelson Agholor - could be a WR2 on a new team with some new hands
Cole Beasley - could stay as an important W2-3 for the Bills, quietly had a nice season
Auden Tate - could be WR2-3 depending on if AJ Green gets moved / drafts a new receiver to go along with Joe Burrow and Boyd

Kelvin Harmon - Pass for me. I think the skins bring in some more WR competition. I'm actually not sure that McClaurin even reproduces his 2019 season

Dante Pettis - Another pass for me. I think he needs to be out of SF for him to break through again. After moving up for him in the 2018 draft, the 49ers went ahead and drafted another couple WRs in 2019 and with Pettis' apparently poor practicing/off season, i think he may have permanently hurt his chances in SF. Add to the fact that they are a Running team with Kittle, Samuel, and possibly Sanders as targets, I'd rather look somewhere else.

Tim Patrick - Sure he could, or he could be nothing. I mean if the stash costs you nothing go for it, but I don't see where the production will come from.

Agholor - I think the eagles invest heavily in WR. If they fail to make a successful splash I could see Agholor getting some good value next year.

Beasley - I like him in buffalo. Actually kinda surprised he's available. I think he's stash worthy and could play for you during bye weeks/injuries (I used him a couple times this year). I think he's a solid PPR WR.

Tate - I think AJ Green is done in Cinci unless they bring in some decent QB option and continue to build that line. He's approaching the end of his career, and a lot will depend on what happened behind the scenes this year. Was there actually a shorter timeline earlier in the year for his return? Did he signficiantly re-aggrivate his injury, its hard to tell. I liked what I saw out of Tate this year, but we already know there are 2-3 other WRs going to be there with a new QB. Is tate going to get that chemistry quickly? Maybe. He's worth a stash.

Just lost the ship and got 2nd so for the most part my team should still be a contender for awhile, barring the draft just trying to shore up my WRs for the future with these dart throws. Missed Mclaurin - almost last round drafted and didnt - and am very thankful to have at least grabbed Slayton.

Thanks for the input all ^
