AJ Brown

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

AJ Brown

Postby pmart33 » Wed Dec 18, 2019 1:53 pm

For the 2nd year in a row, Team 1 in sig flamed out in the semis after finishing first in wins and points scored. Frustrating, but that's the game I suppose. Looking to build a team that should be competitive again in 2020.

I'm in no particular hurry to move on from AJ Brown. But if I were to move on from him this offseason, what should I target? In addition to my current roster the only 2020 draft pick I hold is 1.07.

All thoughts are welcomed.

Third rd start-up value in 1 qb imo. So players ranked 25-36 in adp. It may be aggressive but I’m not moving on from him for anything less. He’s a stud as a rookie. Future is bright.

I wouldn't sell AJ Brown for anything less than a huge overpay. He looks like a strong contributor for rebuilders and contenders alike.

If your goal is to compete, selling him for a draft pick wouldn't be very helpful. I'd package him with the 1.07 and go after a stud. I'd see if that would be enough for someone like Hopkins or MT and how much more I'd have to add.

I would be hesitant to even sell him for the 2020 1.01 based on his rookie production. Just watching the guy catch a ball in his massive hands looks dominating and he outruns everybody on the field. Hold! Hold!

I see no incentive to actively sell him for that team. He’s young, he’s gonna (likely/possibly) be locked in as one of your starters, on a competitive team.

I guess I’d be open to ideas, but the only way I’m doing it is if it’s a package to get MT/Hopkins or something, lineup improving. I don’t see the point of selling him for a pick like 1.04(which I would consider fair). Really don’t think I’d take 1.01 on that team.

People are high on him right now and the return could be there. I've never been afraid to move players that I am high on if the value is there. And periodically I like to get the input of DLF community when it comes to my squad's future outlook.

In a start 2, it is WR that is holding you back. All other positions seem solid, but you lack that top "never out of the lineup" option. Because you have a little depth, I would look at any owner of MT, Hopkins, D. Adams, etc who happens to be short at WR to offer a package, although I'd try to keep Brown and Golloday.
