Drop Corey Davis for Slayton?

I'm worried about Corey. But I don't think he's quite a drop yet. He need to start to put it together. But I still think there is hope

I would drop Preston Williams EASILY before I drop Corey Davis. Miami resigned Parker and I'd be shocked if they didn't draft/sign another WR. I'd bet on Corey Davis having a similar career path as Devante Parker before I bet on a UDFA ascending the depth chart on a team that is salary cap/draft capital rich.

Why is this laughable? Slayton is doing more than Davis ever has. Davis has been a massive bust, and Slayton has been playing extremely well as a rookie, and has scored 8 TD's, two more than Davis has scored in his career.

Yeah, he also has Davis on both his teams, so it's not surprising. Preston will have to battle back from that ACL, though. He looked pretty good this year. I don't think the Dolphins draft a WR that early, and the FA market doesn't have much that will threaten him. I'd say it's a tossup.

I'm not high on Davis but I just think he is only a year away from probably signing with another team and getting a value bump. Who knows, may even be more productive elsewhere too.

How many years have we heard this about Davis? Oh, he just needs a new coach or new scheme or new QB to succeed. We've seen TEN change coaches and move on from Mariota. AJ Brown and Jonnu Smith have had some great games, and Davis had one decent one. At some point Davis has to step up, and he simply hasn't.

How did you feel about Devante Parker 3 months ago? Now all the sudden hes a hot commodity. Thats how quickly things can change. Parker is a massive outlier. I'm not going to argue, as Preston is coming off an ACL. However, Davis is still in Ten next year, and AJB is clearly the guy there, so it probably won't happen for a few years, if it does at all. Davis will get a lot more shots due to draft capital, for sure. We've seen that many times, that first round picks get lots of chances.

hard to say, but initially I say keep Slayton. Davis will be a FA in the offseason so he could pop somewhere else, however, if he was actually good, he had plenty of opportunity in Tennessee that he blew. Keep Slayton
