Dissly or Herndon???

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Dissly or Herndon???

Postby esulek80 » Thu Dec 05, 2019 7:15 am

I currently have 4 TE's on IR (Hockenson, Njoku, Dissly, and Herndon) and need to add another TE just to have a guy that will actually take the field starting next week after my playoff bye. I realize Njoku could be coming back at any time between now and next week but I still am thinking I might be best off to make a move for a guy like Ian Thomas who is still out there available with Olsen now being banged up.

Am I better off dropping Dissly or Herndon when looking long term into next year and seasons beyond? I feel like both have injury concerns and both play on teams that like to utilize the TE so I'm really struggling to make a decision. My only other option would be to hold tight and hope Njoku is back by next week.

I expect Njoku to be back by next week. There's talk he could be active this week. If that's the case, I would just roll him out there.

In regards to Dissly and Herndon, flip a coin honestly at this point. Dissly has more upside, but that Achilles injury is no joke. Herndon is probably the safer of the two, but has less upside.

Is this the team in your signature?
If so, I would be more than happy to drop Ballage for Ian Thomas

I'm a huge fan of Herndon's talent so I would want to hang on to him
I like Thomas a lot too and he looks like he'll be the starter very soon.

Would also comfortably drop Scarbrough for Thomas!

Dropping Scarbrough for Thomas is a solid thought. I would likely drop Dissly over Herndon.

I believe Njoku is now back. Of those 4 TEs the one I would be most comfortable cutting is Dissly.
Please speak to clarion contrarion before considering the use of vetos..
