What to do and think of Hunt

TBH the way he is playing and getting a little more work than Chubb I think it's kinda hurting his value , My thinking on this is because he is playing so good Cle. will keep him next year and that means a pretty much even split with Chubb instead of him going somewhere else and being a 3 down back..

Another way to look at it is even if Cle. holds him next year that they won't pay Chubb and Hunt 12+ Million each in 2021 so one of them will be gone , Then they will both go back to top 5-7 RBs again on seperate teams if you have the patience to wait a full year..

Now I know most people will say his value is going up because he is playing so good , So does that mean it's time to sell high or wait until 2021 ?

I would still hold him at this point unless you get a large overpay. He has shown his upside again this year but that situation is going to get really ugly in Cleveland if he stays next year. As you mentioned, even if he stays either he or Chubb will be gone in 2021 if you can sustain a very frustrating season where either/both players are potentially unusable any given week because of unknown usage.

I doubt you would be able to sell Hunt "high" right now. I'd hold him and see what happens. You can try shopping him and seeing what offers you get, but with Chubb there, I doubt anyone is going to offer you anything great.

I own Chubb and it sucks that Hunt is producing.

I was also offered hunt for what will end up being 1.1-2 and declined. I feel like that was a bit of an overpay but I wasn’t offended nor did I immediately delcineZ

I 100% do not see Hunt being a Brown next year. Think signing him was a genius move as it makes them better this year but theyll get a pick when a team signs him away. Doubt they would put a 1st round tender on him. Thatd make them pay him like 9 million i think. cant afford to pay him if they want to extend Robinson, Schobert, and Randall, all of which are UFA. Maybe a 2nd round tender? prolly be around 5 million. But then I could seriously see a team willing to give up their 2nd rounder to be able to sign a 24 year old Kareem Hunt who has been productive in 2 different systems.

I don’t think his good play is hurting his value..
last four weeks:
Hunt rush att.
4,6,8,7
Vs
Chubb att:
20,27,21,16

I’m pretty sure he gets traded but let’s say he’s stays and can get closer to 10-15 carries a game (like Karama?) his value shoots up with more opportunities.. plus he’s the obvious choice for the passing game.

I really think Chubbs value is the only one in risk with this situation. He’s a hold for me right now unless the trade favors you by a good amount.

Chubbs value will take a sizeable hit for the remainder of the season and maybe next if they manage to keep Hunt. But theres no way they keep both beyond that. And who knows, with a competent HC/OC and a patched up O-line they could make both of them productive. Think Kamara/Ingram lite or Gordon/Ekeler. Looks like where they are headed in Seattle as well. The upcoming influx of RB talent is slightly worrisome in terms of them finding ideal landing spots in the future. But i still think both are firmly top 15 RBs in terms of talent so i wouldnt be selling unless i was getting that kind of value.

If you think he can make it through the off season without a bar fight or domestic violence situation I think you hold unless you get a big offer.

First-round tenders are valued at $4.149 million in 2018.
Second-round tenders are $2.914 million.
Original-round and low-level tenders are $1.907 million.

idk I think they would be willing to pay him 4.5mil next year with Chubb still on the rookie contract , Then let him walk in 2021 when they have to pay Chubb

I'd be taking a punt on Hunt right now. He's producing simply as a receiver out of the backfield at the moment.

As much a i'd love for him to stay with us at CLE I don't think he will and like people have said, he'll go elsewhere, be a 3 down back and go back to being a top 10 RB (maybe top 5 dependent on landing spot).

If I have him he's a total hold.

I 100 percent agree with this
