Carson has been arguably the most consistent player on my roster this year but I just wanted to see how/what people were feeling about him based on his newest case of butter-fingers. I think Penny will gain a larger share of the load (which may actually benefit Carson, as he's top-5 in total rush attempts), but I think Carson will still retain a 60/40 split, including goal-line work. On a scale of 1-10, 1 being confident and 10 being full-blown panic mode, I'm at about a 6, but how confident should I be rolling with him in the playoffs?

Nervous Nelly

Re: Chris Carson Worry Meter...
I traded him away after week one this year because I was never going to not be worried (and then traded for Penny). I was a Carson truther going into last season, but actually liked what I saw from Penny. Given what I saw, I believed that Penny would not ride the bench for his whole career. I’ll leave it with saying I think this is the best chance Penny has had to get off the bench in his career so far.

Re: Chris Carson Worry Meter...
I would still want to see consistent snaps for Penny before I would start worrying about Carson this season. Not saying going into 2020 might not be a much different story, but Penny has had a big game in the past and then was back on the bench. That being said, I would not be confident starting either RB right now, but I would still feel safer with Carson in my lineup.

Re: Chris Carson Worry Meter...
Carson & Penny could be in line for a committee backfield kind of like how Lindsay and Freeman started the year in DEN.

Re: Chris Carson Worry Meter...
I have Penny and expected him to work into the lineup more and more this year. Hasn't happened. To be honest, I really don't expect anything different this year moving forward. Carson has been fumbling all year and Pete doesn't seem to mind. He just doesn't seem to like Penny(probably for reasons unknown to us) and I just don't know if it will change going forward. Penny, for whatever reason, feels to me like he is on the shortest of leashes with Pete Carroll and Carson has an extremely long leash. I think if Penny were to get some run next week and fumble he would go straight to the bench for remainder of the game and maybe season. Carson can play hot potato with the football and Carroll just gets a kick out of it but never seems to consider benching him.
I have Penny and obviously hope I'm wrong.

Re: Chris Carson Worry Meter...
to be fair, penny DID have a fumble in the game before last, so maybe you're being a bit overly pessimisticSteveMaddensShoes wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2019 9:35 am I think if Penny were to get some run next week and fumble he would go straight to the bench for remainder of the game and maybe season.
Re: Chris Carson Worry Meter...
I own Carson and Penny. I think this situation leaves Carson as a basically unusable RB3 this week vs MIN. But I think that even in a worst case scenario 50/50 touch split with Penny he will remain an RB2 due to the good matchups for the fantasy playoffs. And I think that unless Penny looks AMAZING on his first 5 touches this next game, then he is going back to the bench....as long as Carson doesn't fumble the ball before that happens.
