Melvin Gordon offer *update @ bottom*

Postby SWIMball » Sat Nov 23, 2019 9:15 am

I was offered Patrick Laird, Terry McLaurin, and a 2020 1st from the guy currently in first place for Melvin Gordon. I'm in 7th (top 6 make playoffs). Thoughts on this offer?

I'm not sure about Laird, that's IDP right? Or maybe I'm just unfamiliar with the name. I'm don't know his value.

Is the first the first place contenders own? Or is it a random, early, mid??? if you are trying to make playoffs then i'd pass. Otherwise I would take it if you can't get more for him from other contenders. I might ask for a 2nd on top if possible.

Laird is a MIA RB. The first is his own, so it's presumably late.

If you're high on McLaurin, then take the deal. He's probably valued as a late 1st on his own, so you're basically getting 2 late 1sts for him. Won't easily get a better offer until the 2020 season is fully underway...

There is no way I’m trading Gordon for any old first. He is worth way more than that. Especially if he goes to a new team in 2020.

I saw him go for a mid first and mid second. So this seems like a similar offer. So pretty fair value.

Update: Turned down the original offer and still missed the playoffs. Guy came back with McLaurin, Miles Sanders, his 2020 1st (likely 10-12th), and his 2020 2nd for Gordon. Better offer, but is it worth taking with the picks being lower?

Huge win for you. Basically 2 first and 2 seconds for MGIII. I saw him go for a single first and second last week.
