Superflex Trades

Postby DLF_TylerK » Thu Nov 21, 2019 8:09 pm

I made a 3 superflex trades recently. It's a SF and all the rest flex league for team not in sig. Thoughts?

Trade 1:

Give: Kenyan Drake
Get: JJ Arcega Whiteside + 2020 2nd (mid-late)

Trade 2:

Give: Adam Thielen + 2020 2nd (early) + 2020 2nd (mid)
Get: Matthew Stafford

Trade 3:

Give: Tarik Cohen
Get: Mecole Hardman

I like all 3 trades overall. The Stafford trade is a little rich, but not a terrible price for a starting QB in SF.

Also my team is eliminated, so I figured it was good to get out from Thielen right now and transition to a more stable asset.

Hard to properly evaluate, without knowing your roster and whether you are contending or not. I like trade one. I think you overpaid a little on trade two, and trade three was okay. None of them seem like difference makers to me though.......
Team One:
10 Team Salary Cap League w/ IDP - Est. 2018
2018: Champions!
2019: Champions!!
2020: 2nd Place
2021: Loss in Semis
2022: Champions!!!
.5 PPR/$200 budget
1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 WR/TE, 1 K, 2 DL, 2 LB, 2 DB, 3 DL/LB/DB

QB - Mahomes
RB - CMC, White, Sanders, Herbert, Foreman, McKinnon
WR - Diggs, Ridley, Godwin, KJ Osborn, Woods, Claypool, Campbell
TE - Kittle, Goedert, Gesicki
K - Bass
DL - Reddick, Jones, M. Sweat
LB - R. Smith, Wagner, Leonard, White, Perryman, Cashman
DB - Byard, Bell, Hobbs, Jenkins

2024: 3rd

Team Two:
DLF Advice Forum League
14 Team PPR SF/TE Premium (2PPR)
2020: 4th Place
2021: 2nd Place
1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1SF, 2Flex
QB - Allen, Carr, Mayfield, Trask, Zappe
RB - Harris, Gibson, Herbert, K. Miller, C. Brown
WR - MT, G. Davis, Bourne, Skyy Moore, Reynolds, Shakir, A.T. Perry, C. Moore, Hinton

I'm not contending this season. Already eliminated from the playoffs. This is a weird league where we start QB, SF, and 7 Flex, so positions are irrelevant. I really had nothing at QB2, Mahomes was my QB1, so trade 2 gives me a real QB2 for 2020. Figured that getting out from Drake and Thielen now was good because I doubt their value increases before the 2020 season. As for trade 3, I believe Watkins is going to move on and this league has big play bonuses so Hardman has scored way more points than in a normal format. Sorry for not putting enough context here.

JJAW >= Drake >= mid/late 2020 2nd

Drake might get a shot at a starting role somewhere this offseason, but he'll likely be in a committee even if he does. JJAW has a shot to develop into one of Wentz's top targets. Value-wise, I see this as getting a free 2nd.

A bit of an overpay. I would think Thielen + 2nd >= Stafford, so you overpaid by a 2nd. But overall that makes Trades 1 and 2 a wash on value, so not horrible by any means.

Love it. Cohen is what he is, an inconsistent flex in PPR. Hardman has a chance to be the no. 2 WR in this KC offense if KC moves on from Watkins and Robinson this offseason.
Kittles Pox | Championships: 2015, 2017
12-Team PPR | QB, 2RB, 2WR, TE, W/R/T, K, DST
QB: Kyler Murray, Aaron Rodgers
RB: Christian McCaffrey, Melvin Gordon, James Conner, Phillip Lindsay, Tevin Coleman, Boston Scott, Benny Snell Jr.
WR: Tyreek Hill, Mike Evans, Cooper Kupp, Michael Gallup, Christian Kirk
TE: George Kittle, Travis Kelce | K: Younghoe Koo | DST: SF
PS: Mecole Hardman, Tony Pollard | 2020 Picks: 1.09, 2.10, 3.03 | 2021 Picks: 1st, 2nd
