Gurley for 2 late 1sts

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Ill be contending next year, not this year, but will need a RB, if i make this deal i still have 1 1st, 1 2nd, 2 3rds and will still have all my 2021 picks.

Was thinking maybe rolling on Gurley at that price over 2 random late 1sts, although this should be a solid draft, its still top heavy.

its going to come down to what you think Gurley's shelf life is. If you believe he's fine and going to be fine then take the deal. If you're concerned by his usage and wear, decline. Gurley/s been polarizing obviously but this season appears to have scaled back touches, appears TD dependent for big games, and I think is on pace for just under 1000 rushing yards (feel free to check me on that)

There is no way to know for certain, this past Sunday he looked better then he did all year, at the price of 2 late 1sts may be willing to roll the die, if i get 2 elite years out of him would pay off, but just impossible to know.

I would keep the picks, I personally don't trust Gurley's health, I'm not convinced he'll be on the team next year. He has a huge contract and it's reaching the stage of the contract that teams can usually cut bait.
12 Team Dynasty, (SF) (2pt/c TE Prem)
QB - Wentz, Heinicke, Big Ben, Fitz, Tyrod, Rudolph
RB - Henry, Kamara, CMC, R. Jones, D. Felton, P. Lindsay
WR - Ridley, Pittman, Cooks, M. Williams, MT, AJG, R. Higgins, Perriman, Shi Smith, MVS
TE - Gesicki, Engram, Uzomah, Hurst, Manhertz, Farrell

No need to make this deal with not contending this year, hold the picks.

1) if i'm not competing I'm not paying up for any veteran RB until about next August
2) 1sts are such amazing currency, you could probably get lev bell + guice for that package of picks. or david johnson + mixon. maybe you get a great offer on draft day. worst case is you draft some 22 year old with draft capital to add to your bench.

Responding to the contract comment - There is almost no chance he isn't on the team next year and even into 2021 season they would be eating a cap hit of 13mil+ and 8mil+ dead cap. Their realistic out is 2022.

I'd try to pick up a fill in RB to compete this year using 2nds and 3rds. Trade for running backs after the NFL draft for next year.

Guys like Hyde, RoJo, Howard, Breida, Lindsey, Singletary would all cost one 1st and likely less.
