DJ Moore+ for OBJ

Postby Steelersxx6 » Thu Nov 14, 2019 7:29 pm

Just got offered OBJ for my DJ moore and a 2020 first

Im currently rebuilding and have 4 2020 firsts
(2 of them will be a top 3 pick, 1 will be anywhere from 4-6, and 1 will be a late 1st)

Is this a good deal for me for the team in my sig?

I would hold your side here, unless you can flip Beckham for more value then you are giving up in the original deal.

The Browns are in a weird place this season and it's cratering OBJs value. I think they'll be fine next year. I'd send Moore and the late first in a heartbeat.

Brown's schedule is incredibly light to end the season. Miami, steelers again, bengals x2, cardinals, and I think the only real team is the Ravens. They should really start to pick up steam with their little 2 win streak going on. I think their situation improves a lot, and the organization fixes the o-line this offseason. Baker is forced to scramble so much he looks like he's tap dancing out there. This is causing tons of mis-throws just due to bad mechanics itself. It's why OBJ is 3 yards open tonight, which is an easy hit for any NFL franchise QB, and baker misses him by 5 yards... The OBJ hate on this forum, and general recency bias is pretty terrible. DJ Moore, definitely looks the part of an elite WR, but I would argue his situation is way worse long-term than OBJ's. Who knows what state Cam is in, and now there are rumors that Cam could even be traded. If that was the case, I'd be pretty worried, because Kyle Allen doesn't give me much long term confidence in terms of fantasy. Baker's play has been poor, but he's obviously a lot more talented with a higher ceiling than Allen. Moore also has like what, 3 career TDs in 25 games? OBJ had 35 in three years. I just think it sucks having to be patient with OBJ, but it's really the Brown's offense in general, and Baker's development. Realize that if the o-line gets fixed this offseason, to what it was in 2018, the brown's could be special with all that talent, and the offense could explode. Baker's definitely had a strong sophomore slump, but if he pans out, we'll finally get OBJ tied to a good QB for the next 4-5 years... People want to act like OBJ is so far removed from his old days, and I don't get it. Last year, was a "bad" year, but OBJ was on pace for 97 receptions, and on pace for 1340 yards.

Meh I don’t have faith in OBJ being a top 5WR anymore. I’d only do that if you send the late 1st.

Why though? Because his stats don't look good? Have you thought about how tough it is to put up stats when your
QB averages 1 TD and 1 Pick a game, and constantly misses you...

You mentioned having four 1sts but didn't say which one you'd be moving. If it's the late 1st, I'd pay that for OBJ pretty easily.
