Team 3 in sig (MN)

Give: Julio+2020 late 3rd+2021 3rd
Get: Sutton+2020 late 1st+2021 1st

My primary concern is that both teams are contenders this year. Do I add risk this year for future gain?

I would definitely prefer the Sutton side, but selling to another contender would make me hesitate.

If you are an absolute contender, Julio >> Sutton rest of season - so I think you need to hold Julio. If you don't feel you have a legit shot to win it all, I'd make this trade as the value is on the Sutton side IMO.

I would hold Jones as a contender as well. He should still put up WR1 numbers the rest of the year.

With that team, give me sutton and the firsts.

Can't really gauge how you will do to finish up this year. but you need some more fire power on that team, and those 1sts will give you just that.

if you think you can win the ship keep Jones... if you are a borderline team then I take Sutton and started getting ammo for the future.

That is a great return/haul for Julio. Give me the Sutton side all day.

Sutton all day and it isn't even close for me. Unless you have some funky scoring, the difference between the two players this season in PPR is 2.1 ppg. On top of that you're getting a player that is 6.5 years younger.

i dont see how this is a question. sutton is currently scoring as a high end wr2 and julio a mid wr1, the age gap is massive and those are first round picks being offered.

I'll be sitting 3rd (7-3), on the heels of 1st/2nd (8-2), with the most points scored and second most possible points. I like my players' matchups during the playoffs, and feel I can still contend even after the trade. I felt the long term gain was worth more than the short term risk.

I haven’t been offered anything near that for Julio. I had one GM tell me he wouldn’t pay more than a 2. Two other GMs offered single firsts.

To be fair, the end result wasn't close to the initial discussions. It started with discussions around Chark, transitioned to Julio, and had to be built up from there.

I'm lucky to be in a few leagues with many owners who like to trade and are open to candid trade discussions.
