WR targets and trade options for a contender?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

WR targets and trade options for a contender?

Postby hockeyBjj » Mon Nov 11, 2019 8:28 am

Team 1 in sig. 8-2 but highest points scored in league. Been riding my Russel/Lamar and Pats D to help with some of these high scores, so it's somewhat masking my WR deficiency.

Going into the season with OBJ, Juju, and Mike Evans as my starters I thought I was golden. Boyd as WR4. Wow was that not true. Golden Tate who I acquired in the pre-season for Latavius Murray has been saving my butt. Am I crazy also for starting to consider starting Landry while leaving OBJ on my bench? and yes, I've benched OBJ and Juju for multiple weeks now, typically Boyd and Tate in. Once rolled Darius Slayton due to byes.

I feel OBJ and Juju will bounce back in the future, but would love to repeat as champion here in 2019. Who are some cheap by nows, even if 1 or 2 year filll ins, that would start over the likes of OBJ, Juju, and one of Tate or Boyd? And any guys on my team it looks like would be good trade bait for someone like that? I do have my late 1st I'd be willing to cough up for a starting WR that isn't 30+. early 2nd as well. No 3rd.

Tough to predict how mid tier help guys will score, but cheaper options for the rest of the year could be: Woods, Sanu, E. Sanders and Thielen (maybe while injured??). I think you could land of of these guys without giving up a ton and keep your 1st at the same time. Woods and Sanders seem like they could be plug and play guys if Beckham and JuJu keep going at this rate.

OBJ has been rough indeed, don't fault you for starting Landry over him. Not sure "cheap" and "needing to beat OBJ/Landry production from here on in" are realistic assumptions, but here are some ideas:
Risky options, could potentially produce similar numbers, very cheap prices: Diontae Johnson, J Washington, Josh Reynolds, D Parker, Sammy, MWill
More stable options, medium prices: TY, E Sanders, ARob, Gallup, Woods, Theilen, Fitz
Pricier options with better production, but maybe not overly expensive at this exact moment: Keenan, Diggs

I didn't even post I was looking, but Emmanuel Sanders owner (builder) reached out to me and I'd definitely be interested in that. Told him I'd watch the niners game tonight and see what I thought.

If he looks good again with his new team, early 2nd in a 10 teamer accurate value?

Nice! Early 2nd > Sanders in 10-teamer IMO but not absurd, especially in your situation. I'd do it if I were you, and you just might get another 1-2 years out of Sanders too.
