Save or trade 3rd thru 5th round picks?

Probably more of an outlier, but we only have 20 roster spots, no IR, and we use K and D as well. Taking that into consideration, if your team is fairly strong there's just not a lot of room to use 3-5 rookie picks most years.

Generally, I try to package them with players to either get a better/earlier pick or player upgrade. Or trade them outright for a future pick. Sometimes they just go unused. There have been phases with my team where I'm more in rebuild mode though, and those years I've generally drafted into the 3rd, and sometimes 4th round.

The better your team, the less useful those late picks become as anything other than fodder to acquire future picks or sweetener in a trade.
