Andrews+ or 2020 1st+

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Andrews+ or 2020 1st+

Postby JamboMac » Fri Nov 08, 2019 5:56 pm

Team 3 in Sig.

I asked about a trade recently and it leant the way I thought it might.

This is a 1.75 te premium SF league and with Ebron as my best, and with me competing, I could really use the help.

It started at Andrews+Everett for 2020 1st (1.01/1.02)+Gallup, but I said that was too much for me to lose. So I upped it to add the 2020 2nd on his side (2.01/2.02). He said he didn't want to give that 2nd up as it holds alot of value in SF leagues. Which he isn't wrong about, but I still think it made the trade much more even. Though he came back with the 3rd (3.01/3.02), and I said it isn't enough.

I asked him about adding Lock in with that 3rd, he said he isn't sure.

Would you take it if he goes along with it? Baring in mind I'm very short on QBs. Whilst I don't expect Lock to take the league by storm, he has every chance to be a starter next year, and I actually rated him quite highly coming in to the draft.

It has every chance, really. He is considering it. Might have to take the 3rd out, at that point I have a choice of a 3rd or Lock. Would you take one or the other, or any?

I would rather gamble on Lock. As you mentioned, he should start in 2020.

Do you think it is worth losing that 1st and Gallup for the tight ends, full stop? Given my current group? Andrews looks the part, but that run first O scares me with him.

If he is so low low on lock buy him separately, but why would you trade a top 2 2020 1st in super flex plus gallup for the rest? I'm genuinely lost

Because both Andrews and Everett have scored more than Gallup in this league. Infact, Andrews is on his way to 260 points, and is 23... I am in need of an extra piece at least to push me in to a win this year. Without it, I still have every chance, but this would push it over, I think. So do I go for the money shot now, plus a guy with potential, or do I stick it out and just add Taylor/Swift/Jeudy, etc...

Easily stick with the stud picks... Bro the top of the class is absolutely loaded. Also, you could draft Tua, or Burrow... Mark Andrews on pace for 260 points is the most misleading thing ever. I just sold Andrews two weeks ago. I watched Harris football talk about him quite a bit, and if you watch a lot of him playing this year it honestly isn't very impressive... The first two weeks were absolutely anomalies and he was ridiculously wide open. He's on a team that plays 4 TE's every game, and his snap is really low for a starting TE.... He's put up 21, 39, 45, 31, 15 yard weeks since those 2 big first games, and only had 1 other good 99 yard game against the bengals.... Keep the pick and the TE.

and what is andrews pacing for since week 3? I don't think he's helping you win all that much. I mean he could but he could also keep up his recent output

Just think about it like this. In the last 5 years this is who you could've drafted: 2015: Todd Gurley, 2016: Zeke, 2017: CMC, 2018: Saquon. That's what you're willing to give up for mark andrews.... Even 2019 had jacobs and he's not half the prospects we are looking at this year (And i'm a huge Jacobs fan).

Through those 6 games he's on pace for 660 yards. Worst trade I've ever seen in my life.

As an Andrews owner myself in TE Premium I am very worried that Andrews is a bit of a mirage. Two huge games against the worst TE defenses in the league to start the year and he's been pretty middling since then.

I would easily take the 1.01 side here.
12 Team FFPC TE Premium
QB: Herbert, Brady
RB: Barkley, Mixon, Jav Williams, Pierce, Drake
WR: Jefferson, AJ Brown, Metcalf, Hopkins, Peoples-Jones

So you're telling me that a 23 year old TE, in his second year, on track for 800+ yards is a bad move? I'm not sure how you play dynasty, but those are pretty good numbers for a second year TE.
