Buying Mixon

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Buying Mixon

Postby RoyalPalmer » Wed Nov 06, 2019 9:30 pm

Team 2 in the signature, superflex, TE premiumm 24 roster, 12 teams. I'm the commish of the league so I want to be sure I'm not blatantly ripping anyone off.

Mixon owner should be rebuilding. Their best assets are Rodgers, Matt Ryan, Mixon, Hunt, Aaron Jones, Julio Jones, Marvin Jones and Sterling Shepard. It falls off pretty dramatically after that, like borderline droppable players. I feel volume could go a long way for them. I'm 1-8 now and have a ton of young assets. I also wouldn't mind just adding more 2020 dart throws and go at the next couple years with a bunch of blue chips to build contender. Currently have my 1st, two 2nds, and a 4th and would prefer not to add any to get Mixon.

Is this fair, too much or too little?
Singletary
Hardman
Curtis Samuel
for
Mixon

Feels like a lot of stuff for a potential top 5 RB. But as a bottom feeder also feels like I lose a ton of depth on a 10 man starting roster.

Delicate situation where I don't want to buy too low, but also would like to get value out of the trade.

Does not seem like enough for Mixon long term, but for a rebuilding team three solid young assets makes sense.

Thanks. Outside of value is this a trade you'd make while on a complete rebuild?

I'd make it, even in a rebuild. You may have to flip Mixon though if rebuild takes a while. I think his stock should be up next year so that would be a good problem to have.

I think id keep the package here. Just my opinion, but i think singletary will prove to be a similar scorer. You then have hardman and samuel who i believe have some staying power.

I'm worried that Buffalo will want an additional runner and Singletary will be in a committee sooner rather than later. I still see Singletary as a RB2 best case scenario, where Mixon can produce RB1 numbers and is only a year older.

Hardman is the tough one for me, I want a piece of that sweeeeeet sweeeet KC offense, and he could be taking Watkins targets next season (and will hopefully do more with them). I have enough receivers that Samuel doesn't hurt at all.

I could swap Hardman for Scary Terry but that potentially feels just as bad. My problem with this trade is I really don't want to add to this, but I'm not sure it's enough either. Also, moving a lot of potential for more proven potential. Mixon still feels like a risk. This may be a better draft day trade.

There are a lot of people who are high on guys like Singletary, Hardman, and Samuel, so you never know. I personally wouldn't move Mixon for that, but don't think it's a terrible offer.

Not a terrible offer and if the other owner is in a serious rebuild, he may accept it. I wouldn't move Mixon for that though.
