Julio Jones vs 2020 1.02

Hello,

Currently my team is 4-5 and i sit in 10th place but only one back from the playoffs. My 2020 is almost a lock to be 1.02. Do i sell the pick for Julio and make a push? Or continue the rebuild with my early 2020 and two 2021's?

Not sure how you can determine you will have the 1.02 if you are in 10th place but only 1 game out of the playoffs though. Say you make playoffs? Then your pick won’t be top half of the first.

I traded for this first a few years ago. Does you dynasty leagues not allow you to trade picks?

By draft time... its rare if a team still owns one of their own picks.

I would hold your pick either way here. If you are a fringe playoff team, I doubt Jones puts you over the top.

lol its the 2020 i own. So it would be more clear if i said Chad's 2020? Or "The 2020 of another owner"..... ok dude.

Regardless of the confusion the 1.02 is worth more than Julio from what I’m gauging. People are killing for an elite rb in most of my leagues and are excited about Swift and Taylor.

Julio is one of my favorite WRs of all-time, but he's not worth the 1.02.

If your team was 8-1 and clear cut above others, it would be tempting. At 4-5, tough call. He's still a beast.

I would definitely trade 1.02 for Julio if I was a fringe playoff team. I traded what could end up being 1.03 + 1.04 for him a couple weeks ago. No regrets, as he is an elite top 3 WR week to week, that can help you win now.

Personally, I’d rather hold the 1.02 given your situation with being in 10th. Could go either way in terms of making or not making the playoffs. If you for sure knew having Julio would catapult into the top 3 contenders, I’d say do it. I sent my 2020 1st (late; I’m currently in 1st) and Alshon for Julio a couple of weeks ago.

I would agree with this. Though I wonder if it would be a mistake to take a stab at either of those picks due to my WR depth. Maybe those owners don't know this.
