Yeah, I always try to look at my trade partner's needs prior to sending an offer. I also almost always run it through a trade calculator just to make sure I'm not insultingly low on someone. Trade calculators obviously aren't everything but they do provide an unbiased assessment of player values

But agreed, most are not paying a 1st for him (especially not an early one)

I can understand an owner holding out for a 1st (or just in general)

But I respectfully disagree that Goff is worthless even in a 10tm 1QB, especially given his QB situation
And I know Drake's value is down because he's once again stuck in a bad situation. But he's still a talented player that has an opportunity to improve his situation with 2020 Free Agency.

I think our valuations on these particular players are just different man, which is fine
I've seen low-end QB1s get traded for 2nds many times in this exact format, just depends on team need

But again, I've offered him fair value even by the valuation you just laid out.
Earlier in the season, I offered him an early 2020 2nd + Parris Campbell + Royce Freeman - he turned it down and countered with Guice for 2 2020 1sts, which (I now realize) meant he was insulted by that offer too

To be fair, a 2nd is probably closer to a 4th than it would be to the 1.01. The gap between the 1.01 and a 2nd will be HUGE. Gap between 2nd and 4th, not as huge...and I disagree that Drake and Goff would barely be worth a 4th even in a 10 team league.

One good game in this run first offense and his value could rebound signicantly. I should also note that he was thought to be the 1.02-1.03 prior to his ACL injury in his draft class.

I'm with you on Guice and think he can still have some long term value, but the majority probably value him closer to a 2nd right now than they do a late 1st. At least that's been my experience on this forum. As for Goff, I'm not a big fan, but he's still a starting QB on a decent offense. And for a team who's competing and his only QB is on bye, any starting QB should have some value...which is what the OP was trying to do by trading him Goff. On top of that, he's adding a RB who just came off a huge game and has a chance to go somewhere next year and maybe be worth a 2nd himself. Again, it might not be the best offer for Guice, but it's certainly not insulting when you take everything into account.

Not bad enough for him to act that way. Some of the Guice people really can't get past the fact that he's 1.5 seasons in and still hasn't played with functioning knees and get all pissy when somebody acts accordingly.
