Calvin Ridley Traded for Picks

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Calvin Ridley Traded for Picks

Postby Peepyopee » Tue Nov 05, 2019 7:26 am

Trade just went down in my league.

Ridley owner originally flipped Michael Thomas and Cohen for Breida, Ballage, and Ridley (yuck).

And now just traded:

Give: Ridley
Get: 2020 2nd, 2021 1st

Sure, the 1st is always good to have in your pocket, but moving a weekly starter with a good QB in a pass heavy offense, who typically trails, no Sanu - for a 2nd pick next year which will be in the 20-24 range. And then a pick 2 years out. Almost no return on a good player.

Thoughts?

I don't like that deal at all now or long term. Not a great trade, but the Thomas trade was awful too. That owner must have a much different value system.

Yea, he's basically turned MT into nothing but hopeful draft hits. Seems like if he got a 2020 1st it would be a little more reasonable considering turn around of cost vs. possible return.

So he basically traded MT for a 2021 1st in my eyes. I can't get MT for M. Williams and 3 2020 1sts in my league. lol
12 Team Dynasty, (SF) (2pt/c TE Prem)
QB - Wentz, Heinicke, Big Ben, Fitz, Tyrod, Rudolph
RB - Henry, Kamara, CMC, R. Jones, D. Felton, P. Lindsay

Breida and Ballage have MEGA hype though!!! they're both gonna rock it in their offenses... and Ridley... who cares?

But seriously,
First trade was horrible
Second trade was horrible

Really hope he shopped around MT and the rest of you guys just didn't want to trade with him.

Any suspicion of collusion? Cuz that's horrible. Was the 2nd trade with the same owner or a different owner?

Different owners.

We started up in 2018 and he won. My only guess on his thought process is to tear it down and build something for the future. But he seems to be forgetting his previous transactions and can't properly evaluate anyone.

We are still new to Dynasty and the value of players and picks seems to swing week to week and depending on who is involved.

You should take advantage of that and try to buy MT. Offer a better package.
