A-Rob for 2021 1st

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

A-Rob for 2021 1st

Postby yitzchaks » Thu Oct 31, 2019 9:57 am

Im in a rebuild, so far going pretty well, here is the trade

Get: 2021 1st (Mid)
Give: Allen Robinson, Kenny Stills

All of the 2020 picks are spoken for no way to get any of them without heavily overpaying, i figured to add another 2021 1st would be good as trade bait next year if im going for it, i have 2 1sts already in 2020.

After the deal my WR depth is still: S. Diggs, K. Golladay, DJ Chark, C. Sutton, A. Miller, D. Hamilton, N. Agholor. I figured with that depth i can do this deal.
12 Team, 20 Keepers, .5 PPR (year 15) rebuild year 1
START: QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, TE, FLEX (WR/RB/TE), DEF

SIG 1
QB: J. Brisett,S. Ehlinger

WR: AJ. Brown, J. Williams, T. Mclaurin, M. Gallup, D. Mooney, M. Hardman
TE: I. Smith, D. Njoku, I. Likely, C. Otton
DEF: IND

12 team, 20 Keepers, .5 PPR (year 1)
START: QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, TE, FLEX (WR/RB/TE), K, DEF

QB: M. Stafford, G. Smith, C. Wentz
RB: D. Swift, CMC, S. Barkley, J. Williams (det), D. Harris, C. Huntley, S. Michel, J. Kelley
WR:D. Johnson, J. Waddle M. Williams, H. Renfrow, DVP
TE: D. Schultz, G. Everett, R. Tonyan
K: Y. Koo

Probably fair, but I think you can always get that for Arob. Hold for now and see if anyone else has a better offer.

Problem with waiting is in this league the 2021 picks will fly and i dont want to miss out adding at least 1 extra pick, and WR in this leage are always a little devalued.

Then at least try to get something added on top.

Seems light for ARob, but we don't know your league as well as you do. If picks are valued higher than most leagues and WRs valued lower, then I can see how it would end up fair.

WR are definitely undervalued unless they are top 5 type of guys, its not much that picks are overvalued its more that most teams that will contend already traded away 1sts into 2021 and they are scarce, because the bad teams will want a ransom and as a competing team next year "at least i hope" having those 2 picks will bring me a far greater return then Robinson and i have some good depth at WR.

Based on all the replies, im happy that i got A-Rob in a steal of a deal, i got offered by a really QB needy team A-Rob for a late 2021 2nd and Allen on Carolina, so no matter what ill take it.

Although now prob should have waited before doing the deal, i still think it will pay off for me, but now im a little more nervous because i seem to be on an island alone with this deal.

I'd just hold Robinson if you can't get an early/mid 1st, but you know your league best.

As of now its projected mid, but the team its going to can easily fall apart and the pick will move up in value. I already made the deal and posted after, in general should probably do it the other way around.

I would’ve kept ARob. Definitely wouldn’t have added to him, even if it’s just Stills.
Both are 12-team 1QB PPR dynasties

🦬PRIME🦬
QB: Hurts, Howell
RB: Mixon, Jones, Sanders, Dobbins, Akers, Roschon, Dowdle, Kelley
WR: Nuk, Godwin, Cooper, Lockett, Flowers, Chark, Collins, Hollins, Tillman, Tolbert
TE: Hockenson, Chig, Trautman
Taxi: Willis, Z. White, M. Mims, T. Palmer

Hull Awaits
$450 cap, 60 contract years

QB: Lawrence $5/3, Richardson $5/5, Minshew $1/0, Jones $1/0, Heinicke $1/0, Tyrod $1/0
RB: Achane $4/4, Warren $2/4, Roschon $7/5, Dillon $4/1, Hubbard $2/1, Kelley $1/0
WR: Nuk $78/1, MT $25/1, M. Williams $1/0, JSN $21/5, Reed $4/5, Rice $4/5, M. Wilson $2/5
TE: Thomas $1/0, Hill $1/0, Parham $1/0

I would have sold ARob for that. I think this is a good sell high window for him. Lots of things up in the air with his situation. Bears save 13 million if they cut him and he could end up in a bad (or better who knows) situation. If he stays the Bears might move on from Trubisky which most likely means a young QB or one rumor being floated is Mariota being reunited with Helfrich as his OC in Chicago. Trubisky is bad but a rookie QB or Mariota doesn't sound all that appealing for next season.

I would hold Robinson here. The 1st is too far out.
