What to do with My Team?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

What should my team do?

Rebuild - Give up on the season and sell off veterans

What to do with My Team?

Postby kmbryant09 » Thu Oct 31, 2019 7:26 am

Hey Guys -

I appreciate any time & responses provided here. I've got a very talented, valuable dynasty roster that is currently underachieving & trending in the wrong direction:

QB - K. Murray / B. Mayfield / K. Cousins
RB - David Johnson / M. Mack / P. Lindsay / C. Edmonds / M. Walton
WR - J. Jones / O. Beckham Jr. / K. Allen / C. Godwin / Di. Johnson
TE - T. Kelce / D. Waller

Waller & Godwin have been my lone bright spots this year, relative to their pre-season rankings & projections.
  • D. Johnson & C. Edmonds are hurt.
  • The Browns are a mess, and OBJ / Mayfield are huge busts this season.
  • The Broncos dumbfoundingly seem to want to feed R. Freeman, despite being outplayed by P. Lindsay.
  • Julio Jones, K. Allen, OBJ, and T. Kelce have scored 1 total TD since week 2 - a combined 21 games with just 1 Touchdown to show for it.
My team has won 2 straight championships, and my plan was to compete for a 3-peat this season, and then start a re-building process. I already have an extra 2nd in 2020 and an extra 1st in 2021.

I'm currently 5-3 and a game out of 1st place, but I can't help but feel like this might turn into a lost season, particularly with a lack of RB production.

Should I kick-start the rebuild a year early and start selling off some older guys (Julio, Kelce, Allen, D. Johnson)? Should I stay the course and bank on my "studs" rebounding in the 2nd half of the season? Or should I become a buyer at the deadline, using some picks to upgrade on incumbent starters (Mack / Lindsay / OBJ / Allen)?

Thanks all!

if you can get good value for DJ I would, id be looking to move him first maybe Kelce if you can some how swing Kittle over.

But don't rebuild, your still competing.

idk about OBJ, hes been very disappointing this year, im hoping its not his fault, I really thought him leaving Eli would have been better, guess not lol

I wouldn't go in full rebuild mode, but I wouldn't be opposed to selling guys like DJ, Julio, and Kelce. If you can replace them with good younger players, you can continue being competitive next year and keep the team young. Honestly though, this might just be one of those seasons where you have some bad luck, tough it out, and hope your guys produce next year and win it all.

I think you are somewhere in the middle. Too much talent to sell and rebuild, but between injuries and guys under performing, you need to do something other than standing pat. You need to upgrade your RB1. DJ and some picks, or Kelce and some picks should be able to do it.

I would do more 9f a retooling then a full rebuild. I would look to move Johnson, Julio and Kelce for solid packages helping you in the future. Solid young assets and picks would be my angle.
