Need help on this one please

14 team SF, PPC, PPR, TE Prem

I’m 4-4 and have a young team. Not really thinking playoffs this year but building my team. Got an owner who has Conner and Snell who now wants my J Samuels and is a playoff team so he proposed the following...

Give: J Samuels
Get: Ryan Finley + D Slayton

Not sure if this is wise but could be good if Finley were to take over for Dalton and Slayton earned a WR role. Not sure about Samuels. Thoughts?

I'd hold onto Samuels in this case. I think you can get more especially if hes the starting RB in Pit for a bit.

Pass. If / when Conner goes down then Samuel will most likely get the bulk of the touches. He should be offering up more than spare parts.

Id think you could get his "late 2nd" thrown in here. Im all for selling samuels but id think you could get a solid wr, te, or pick in the top 20. Maybe take a shot adding 1 of his prospect te if he doesnt have a 2nd but you like it otherwise.

I dont hate the offer but samuels does carry value amongst some owners. Your league may be different since the same guy is trying to own the entire backfield...in a ppc league, and cincy looking bad and needing qb, then the giants having barkley, engram, Shepard ... Id try to get more or something better.

Unfortunately he has no 2020 picks. However, he does have D Pettis. Would this persuade you to do it now?

No, even with Pettis, you're getting 3 players who have very little value. Ask for a WR or some other piece that's at least valued as a 2nd rounder.

In SF, Finley "should" hold decent value with Cincy's current dumpster fire, but I honestly don't see him being the guy, definitely profiles as a career backup. Thus, I would hold out for more on Samuels.
