What to give up to get Ekeler?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

What to give up to get Ekeler?

Postby NFL123 » Fri Oct 25, 2019 1:25 pm

Ekeler is on the trade block and I'm really keen to get him. Right now he is clearly better than Gordon and I don't see any way that the Chargers pay Gordon the money he wants, so the future looks really good for Ekeler.

The other owner has shown interest in Auden Tate and Preston Williams in the past. I have sent him an offer of Tate, Damien Williams and Gio Bernard but he isn't interested. What sort of offer could I put together to try and get Ekeler? Team is in sig as team 1, .5 ppr league.

I have considered Tate, P Williams and D Williams but I don't know whether that's an overpay.

Could you get some trade proposition including Lindsay? I value Ekeler pretty high just like you as the clear RB1 for next year and even this year I think keeps his good production over Gordon who looks like he gained 55 pounds.

I would try Williams straight up. If he doesn't bite, add Tate. I wouldn't go any further though as Williams could easily end up being the better player in the long run

Williams and Williams may get it done. Could be worth it too since you think Ekeler is the long term guy for the Chargers.

This thread will be an entertaining read for you. My thoughts in there are largely still the same - Ekeler is the guy to own this year, and I expect the Chargers to bring in a Round 1 or 2 RB next year again to compete with him.

Whether he retains his current value or not... will depend on who it is. Lest we forget, they have a proclivity for Wisconsin RB's, after all...
