Darnold is the best asset. If Minshew keeps his job long term however, this is an overpay. Tough call, although I think Darnold is the way to go.

Tough call, I agree with Gator here in that darnold is the best piece. But if Minshew holds onto the job then it will be a fair overpay. It’s risky but I’d lean darnold.

it is close but I think you can do better/safer than Darnold for that package. My SF targets would be Baker, Ben, Stafford, Kirk, Goff

This is basically a 2020 1st + Minshew vs Darnold. So the question in my eyes is what are the chances Minshew or the 2020 1st end up better than Darnold in SF value? Seems like a crapshoot to me so I’d probably take the current SF value in Darnold.

I have Darnold, but surely this is Darnold by a good bit. If you told me the 1st was 1.01-104 I might change my mind.

Depends where the first projects. I'd argue it's not if that pick is top 4-5. I'd take a shot at Tua in a heartbeat over Darnold. The Jets are a mess and Darnold is a turnover machine. He's turned the ball over since college, and had bad habits since then, like throwing off his back foot. I don't think this deal is a slam dunk at all.

PS. Why isn't Minshew listed with the team in Sig 1?
