Might aswell leave. Sure is fun playing with owners who make ridiculous trades. Its the fault of the guy being fleeced, not the guy profiting. Is the league going to kick out the owner/s making bad trades? If he/they stay...it just keeps happening.

Ive left 2 leagues because of it and will likely leave another after this year for the same reason. I dont usually worry about 1 or 2 bad deals but when the same owners keep making them (at loss or profit)...it gets old real quick and not a league i want to play in.

I dont have veto in any of my leagues, but if there was...id imagine this to be the type of deal to get vetoed.
Just because you don't like the deal doesn't mean someone else can't.
If you look there is a lot of TY Johnson is going for hock, low and mid 2020 1st and some even more. I think that's crazy but it should not be vetoed.

Trades should never be vetoed unless collusion.

I know trades should not be vetoed. I play in several leagues. 1 orphan i picked up years ago has veto but ive never seen a vote to veto. All others... No veto. I agree with "no veto".

However, if the league does veto trades....this would be the types of trades that warrant it. This is why it's there is all im getting at. Maybe they never veto.? I dont know...maybe it gets personal between owners?

I would like to know how the veto is determined? The league im in has 48 hrs for 4 of 12 to cast the vote.

Just because you don't like the deal doesn't mean someone else can't.

I think you got a great deal, but I don't like the idea of limiting Team B from selling an asset. Honestly, if they are vetoing that, I'd expect several of the other teams that voted veto to make significant offers for LF. How dare they stop team B from selling LF high, he's injury prone and has a history of "issues".

Our league does vetoes in 2 circumstances: (1) collusion and (2) near total outrage by rest of league. This has worked well so far. Given this trade meets neither, i think it should stand

No offense, but this is crap. How you view players is not fact. Hell the Pats just vastly overpaid for Sanu in my opinion, I better call Bill and tell him the trade has been vetoed.

Why? Isabella and JJAW were both late 1st values in rookie drafts, and two late 1sts is more than fair for Fournette even if the rookie WRs haven't started producing yet. It's very possible that this time next year, one or both could be worth more than Fournette if he gets another soft tissue injury, and they're stepping up in good offenses in ARI and PHI.

It's not up to other owners to decide what's good for a team as long as they're trying to improve it.

Not to troll here, but i wonder some trades that have been vetoed in the league. Thats clearly the answer to whether this one should be.

Like the rest of you, im in the no veto ever crowd but the op plays in a veto league.

If the trade is vetoed, will the league then force the trade if Fournette's value takes a nose dive after an ankle injury and the WRs start producing next year?

No VETO!!!! Maybe the person trading LF doesn't believe he can stay healthy? Doesn't feel they can compete and looking for future value? Doesn't like people with the name Leonard? Doesn't matter: no collusion (and will add no intent to blow up league) no veto.

That's one of the skeeziest things about veto in my opinion: vetoing a trade and then offering a "better deal" for the player yourself.

Not even a lopsided trade in my humble opinion. Those are some nice rebuilding pieces coming back.
"Marathon Square" - 16 team full PPR league with 24 player roster. Keep 16 per year indefinitely, draft 8. Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 Team DST
QB: Jordan Love, Deshaun Watson
RB: Travis Etienne, Aaron Jones, Jamaal Williams, Kendre Miller, Jaleel McLaughlin, Sean Tucker, Deuce Vaughn
WR: A.J. Brown, Garrett Wilson, Tee Higgins, Calvin Ridley, Michael Wilson, Kendrick Bourne, Tutu Atwell, Allen Lazard, Isaiah Hodgins, Justin Shorter
TE: T.J. Hockenson, Cole Kmet, Kylen Granson
K: Didn't make the playoffs in 2023  , and don't usually hold one in the offseason
Team DST: Cowboys, Lions

Picks:
2024: All my picks except 3rd rounder

Disclaimer: My one and only Championship in this league was way back in 2011. Therefore, take my replies with the appropriate grain of salt.
