Edmonds + a 2 for a 1?

I have been offered Chase Edmonds and a 2nd round pick for my first round pick. I'm a dynasty rookie, not sure how to value future picks.

12 teams, PPR (2pt. PPR for TE), Start QB/2RB/3WR/TE/Superflex/2 Flex. I'm in 4th in total points but an unlucky 8th with a 2-5 record. 6 make playoffs. Huge (28) rosters.

QB - Mahomes, Carr, Flacco, Matt Moore
RB - David Johnson, Aaron Jones, D. Freeman, Gus Edwards, Ballage, Mike Davis, Dontrell Hilliard
WR - Julio, Golladay, Edelman, Fitzgerald, M. Jones, D. Parker, D. Robinson, M. Boykin, B. Perriman, John Ross
TE - D. Walker, K. Rudolph, Swaim, D. Harris, Tonyan, Gronk (I told you we were deep.)

How valuable are first round picks when we're basically just drafting rookies next year? Was Edmonds' big day a one-off?

Do not make that deal. He is wisely trying to sell high, but also kinda trying to take advantage of a rookie to dynasty. 1st rd picks, especially high picks, are very valuable. You can do a heck of a lot better than that once the draft comes around if you wanna move that pick. Edmunds may have a decent stretch of games, but he's not worth your 1st. Even if you were to get a 2nd on top. DJ will be back and will take over once he is.

Big time sell high attempt here. I would easily pass on that deal. Edmonds should have a nice role the rest of this season but likely not a workhorse and next year is a complete unknown. To rich in my opinion.

I have offered Jimmy GQ and 1st (late) for Chase and 2nd (late)
I think it is going to be rejected..
trying to win some money.. small price to pay imo (I am DJ owner)

Agree with the others. 1st rounders are always pretty valuable, and everyone has high expectations for the 2020 rookie class in particular, which makes that 1st even more valuable than usual.
