[Update: Trade Completed] Value of Hunter Henry?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

[Update: Trade Completed] Value of Hunter Henry?

Postby TTHTD » Wed Oct 23, 2019 1:17 pm

Team in sig.

Got an offer of a 1st+ for Henry. He has 2 1sts (1 middling, 1 late) and 2 2nds (also middling and late). He has a few players on his team I'm interested in, but they are defintely not throw-ins (Godwin, Cooper, Bell, Lockett, Chase Edmonds). Maybe could be included as upgrades to some people on my roster like Woods, Kerryon, etc... Would a middling 1st + a middling 2nd be enough for Henry?

EDIT: Traded my Hunter Henry for a 1st (team is 4-4) + a 2nd (team is 3-5) + Justin Witten

I'd sell Henry for that, though I'd rather have the mid 1st + Edmonds.

1st and a 2nd is good value.

Yes I'd sell for that as well.

In a PPR I'm not trading HH for a late 1st and a late 2nd. With the dwindling TE landscape mixed with the small sample size we've seen recently mixed with his age...I think he's worth more.

Agree. Just think of Fant and Hock, 2 1st round picks most places. A producing TE is hard to find and it most of the time involves drafting a player pretty high and holding for 3 years. I wouldn't be too quick to trade him. Having that insurance policy for kelce is a great thing.
But a 1st and 2nd isn't unfair. I just wouldn't do it unless you had a specific plan on how you were going to use those picks to better your team. I would need to be on the clock I think.

no way. You already have a few firsts in '20, what are you gaining?

You have two solid TEs, no reason to move your security there.

Yes, but I'm not sure anyone is willing to pay an early 1st or multiple 1sts given Henry's extensive injury history. A 1st + 2nd seems more than fair, even if both picks are late.

Completed the trade. Traded my Hunter Henry for a 1st (team is 4-4) + a 2nd (team is 3-5) + Witten. With 3 1sts and 3 2nds I'm gonna be a rich man on draft day...
