Guice + 2020 first for Melvin Gordon

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Guice + 2020 first for Melvin Gordon

Postby balaberda » Wed Oct 23, 2019 12:17 pm

It was offered to me and sitting in my inbox. I would be giving Guice and the first.

My team is 5-2 but I have some injuries right now.

Here are the notable players on my Team

Jimmy G
Patrick Mahomes

Fournette
Howard
Guice
Henderson
Hunt

AJ Green
Mike Evans
AJ Brown
Mecole Hardman
Preston Williams
Josh Gordon

Engram
Waller

Would you make this trade and hope that AJ Green and Mahomes come back healthy for playoffs to make a run?

The value is probably fair but I would probably ask about a different RB with that package as I'm unconvinced that Gordon is going to put you over the top.
Team 1: Dynasty/Contract Team: 12 Team, PPR, QB,1 RB, 2WR, 1 Flex WR/RB, TE
QB – B. Mayfield, T. Bridgewater
RB – T. Coleman, M. Brown, R. Penny, W. Gallman, D. Thompson (R), K. Johnson (IR)
WR – O. Beckham, M. Valdes-Scantling, C. Ridley, M. Gallup, Duke Williams, P. Williams (R)
TE – I. Smith (R), V. Davis, J. Sternberger (R)
2020 picks: 2 x 1st, 2 x 2nd, 1 x 3rd, 1 x 4th, 1 x 5th

Team 2: Dynasty Team: 12 Team, 0.5 PPR, QB, 1 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex WR/RB/TE
QB - A. Rodgers, L. Jackson
RB - S. Barkley, D. Johnson, C. Edmonds, R. Burkhead, L. Miller (IR)
WR - D. Adams. A. Thielen, A. Robinson, G. Allison, D. Cain, A. Miller, D. Robinson, M. Brown (R), P. Williams (R), Diontae Johnson (R), D. Slayton (R)
TE - D. Njoku (IR), I. Thomas, C. Herndon, J. Graham
2020 picks (3 round draft): 2 x 1st, 1 x 2nd, 1 x 3rd

Man your team looks very borderline to compete but at 5-2 you are obviously in it. I would probably shop your 1st and any of Guice/Henderson/Hunt to see if you can get something better than MGIII - or see if you can add something to your side and get a usable WR3 added to MGIII.

Gordon is barely fetching a 1st by himself, pass

I would say yes if I was convinced that 1st would be late. If it's your 1st, I think it has a chance to be somewhere in the mid range and not sure how much Gordon helps in the near future.

x2 Sadly, I’m not sure what Gordon will do for us this year.

I am still of the belief that he will be a strong asset for the next 2 years, but for 2019 he may be more of a Mixon plus :(
TEAM A - 12 teams (2018 champ, 2017 R/U)
BREES, Jimmy G, Rivers, Haskins, Dalton, Keenum
COOK/JACOBS/GURLEY, Shady, Gio, Gallman, Ollison, D Washington, M Davis, Laird, Scarlett, Ware, Rodney A
NUK/HILL/EVANS/GOLLADAY/K ALLEN, Edelman, Alshon, Sammy, P Campbell, Wims, Dez, Hardy
KITTLE, Waller, Herndon, Sternberger, J Graham, Eifert
-
Not listing my IDP, but they matter as much as offense in this league
///
///
TEAM B - 32 teams, double copy - TEs get slight bump in scoring (1st year league, tanking this year to build through 2020 draft)
DARNOLD, Carr, Rosen, Eli, Tyrod
SAQUON/MIXON, Hines, Gallman, L Miller, J Williams
NUK/EVANS/OBJ/K ALLEN/HOLLYWOOD, Coutee, Latimer
KITTLE/NJOKU, Ian Thomas, James O
-
Danielle Hunter and then a bunch of stashes for IDP

I prefer the first alone vs Gordon
10 team / 28 man rosters
SF/PPR in 2021
QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/WR/TE/flex
Mahomes/Winston/Murray/Minshew
Barkley/CMAC/Chubb/J Williams/
Gore/Hunt/Harris
Hopkins/Thomas/Evans/Fitz/P.WIlliams/Campbell
Kelce/Hooper

3 - 2021 1st
