Trade for Kerryon Johnson? UPDATE: Trade done!

Team 1 in my sig and I'm looking at next year with a 2-6 record and I'm not sure how I got those two wins.

Targeting cheaper buy players and looking at middling teams that are looking for a piece to compete.

Thinking about offer the below to a WR hungry 4-4 team:
I give: Lockett + Damien Williams
I get: Kerryon Johnson + 2020 1st

Note that due to contracts, I'd have to resign Lockett to a new contract so, although I can resign him (but would have to fit him under a contract cap), it wouldn't be a bad time to trade him.

Would love to see your vote and a post with a few thoughts on this offer as my feeling is that I'm over-reaching and not giving away enough but I'm having a hard time valuing Kerryon now that he is on IR.

Normally I'd agree, but getting a 1st for him when you're most likely going to lose him next year isn't bad value.

Normally I'd agree, but getting a 1st for him when you're most likely going to lose him next year isn't bad value.

The contract league is a bit weird. FA acquisitions and draft picks get up to a 4 year contract free. Then we can resign them (once) to a whatever contract we want at a $10/year real money cost. The only rub is everyone had to fit under a 45 year cap.

Long story short, I can entirely keep him next year so I don't feel tons of pressure to trade him unless it improves my overall team.

We agreed to:
I get: KJ + 2020 1st
He gets: Lockett + 2021 2nd

But due to some contract roster limits I need to send some more contract years over (like I said, some weird contract rules) so final trade was:
I get: KJ + Duke Williams + 2020 1st
He gets: Locket + Damien Williams + 2021 2nd

Well, I did buy a guy on IR with (yet another) injury and hurt my current roster so my victory feels a bit pyrrhic but I appreciate the positive affirmation.

Edit to add: Just to be sure you read that right, that is Duke Williams the WR whom I just dropped for McKissic... not Duke Johnson the RB.
